Entries: Entries must be postmarked on or before closing date on first page of prize list. Entries after closing date will be considered post entry and will incur late fees.

Make checks payable to HDC Training, LLC and submit with entry to Show Secretary: Haras Dos Cavaleiros Dressage Show, Susan Peacock, 837 Glenlake Drive, Edmond, OK 3013. Complete entries must include copy of a Coggins taken within 12 months of the show date and proof of Equine Influenza Virus and Equine Herpes Virus (Rhinopneumonitis) vaccinations given within 6 months prior to entering the show grounds. Entries missing any of these items will be considered incomplete. Entries are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, based on postmark date and entries may be limited. Those entries postmarked after closing will be accepted at the discretion of the show secretary, based on a space available basis and charged a late fee per show. If the classes are oversubscribed, a Waiting List (in the order of receipt) will be maintained. Management reserves the right to refuse any entry.

All entries using credit card for payment must use the online entry at www.showsecretary.com

A convenience fee of 3.5% will be charged on all credit card transactions. Membership/Non Member/Proof of Membership fees: All participants (rider, owner, trainer, agent, lessee, or coach) must present to the competition secretary a current USEF membership card or copy thereof. In the event the participant does not have his/her card or copy, he/she must pay a $45 USEF show pass fee per show. All Riders and Owners must present a current membership card or pay the USDF non-membership fee per show. Those who cannot provide proof of their USDF membership may fill out an affidavit form and must pay the $5 fee. The affidavit may also be used to verify horse registration and/or horse ownership. The USDF non-member fee is $35. Non-competing Horses: Non-competing horses are welcome on a space-available basis. They must have an entry form with all release signatures, a current Coggins, and pay non-compete fee and office fee per show, and a stall fee. Noncompeting horses must wear a bridle number when out of the stall. Horse/Rider Substitution: A new entry form must be completed for any horse or rider substitutions; no additional class fees will be collected, but a new office fee will be charged for the new entry. Freestyles: All Freestyle entrants must include a copy of a qualifying test (NAYRC qualifiers excluded). Music for all freestyles on CD must be given to the show office upon check in to show office. Sound checks will be conducted during Friday afternoon. Official Ride Times: Stabling assignments and provisional times will be available to competitors at www.ShowSecretary.com. Official times will be available at noon the day before the show. Refund Policy: Entry cancellations received prior to closing date will be refunded, less office fee. NO REFUNDS after closing date.

Hazardous Weather/Act OF God/Accident Policy: Management reserves the right to cancel any classes due to hazardous weather, Acts of God, accident, or emergency. Every effort will be made to reschedule with priority given to any qualifying classes being offered. No refunds for cancellations due to hazardous weather, Acts of God, accidents or emergencies. Schedule: Classes may not necessarily be run in the order listed in the class lists. It is the responsibility of the rider to inform the show secretary of any time conflicts as soon as possible after receiving the schedule. Management reserves the right to change officials, limit entries, combine or cancel classes, and modify the schedule, and to modify or cancel awards and/or make whatever changes are required by circumstances to the competition specifications listed herein. Show Management reserves the right to cancel classes insufficiently filled and to refuse or require withdrawal of an entry for cause deemed sufficient by Show Management.

All horses must wear show numbers at all times when out of stall.

Stabling: All stalls are permanent 10x10 with doors. Stall charts will be posted online and check-in will start at 1:00 PM on Thursday prior to show.

Arenas/Footing/Warm-Up: All tests are ridden in 20 x 60 meter arena with state of the art, European footing with permanent irrigation system.

Concessions: The facility offers a concession stand and on-site restaurant.

Children/Pets: Well-mannered dogs on leashes at all times are welcome. Loose dogs will be impounded and will incur a $100 fee which is donated to the local humane society. Children must be adult supervised at all times. Ribbons and Awards: Prize for first place and ribbons awarded 1st through 6th place for all levels. Management reserves the right to combine classes with 3 or less entries. Ribbons, awards, and tests will be available after class has been pinned. Champion and reserve ribbons will be awarded for High Point FEI, national level (Levels Training-Fourth combined) High Point Junior, Amateur and Open for each show.

ALL RIDERS MUST WEAR HELMETS DR120.6 From the time horses are officially admitted to the competition grounds by competition management, anyone mounted on a horse at any time on the competition grounds including noncompeting riders, riders on noncompeting horses, mounted participants in exhibition classes and those competing in all classes and tests, including Para-Equestrian tests, must wear protective headgear as defined by this rule and otherwise in compliance with GR801. Any rider violating this rule at any time must immediately be prohibited from further riding until such headgear is properly in place. Protective headgear is defined as a riding helmet which meets or exceeds ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials)/SEI (Safety Equipment Institute) standards for equestrian use and carries the SEI tag. The harness must be secured and properly fitted.

FEDERATION RULE BOOK WILL BE CONDUCTED AND JUDGED IN ACCORDANCE THEREWITH.”

Exhibitors should exercise extreme caution before medicating their horses and should be aware of the US EQUESTRIAN

FEDERATION rules governing drugs and medications. Any questions about the use of certain medications and regarding Rule IV

USEF MEMBERSHIP STATEMENT DR901.9: Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all

classes at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Preliminary Level or above and Combined Driving Competitions at the

Advanced Level, Dressage, Reining and Vaulting Competitions and Endurance Rides. A nonmember may participate as a handler,

rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or trainer at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining

Competitions and Combined Driving Competitions upon payment of a $45 Show Pass fee. Participants in the following classes are

exempted from the Requirements of this rule: 1) leadline; 2) exhibitions; 3) games and races; 4) classes for 4-H members; 5) walk trot

(exception: Friesian performance FR222) and academy classes (academy classes are classes limited to horses used regularly in a

lesson program); 6) USDF introductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes; 7) NRHA Endorsed Reining Competitions. 8)

Opportunity classes, 9) citizens of other nations who have proof, in English, of current membership in good standing of their own

National Federation, 10) USEA beginner novice division; and 11) assistant handlers in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding classes.

MOTORIZED VEHICLE RULE- In accordance with GR1301.7: Minors who do not have a valid driver's license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind, including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles, on the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver's license. The parent(s), legal guardian(s), or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating a motorized vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from that operation. Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s) and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense. Penalties may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with Chapter 6. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule. Sharps Containers: Competition management shall place a minimum of one sharps container per each competition, whether or not stabling is provided. Additionally, at least one sharps container per fifty occupied stalls for the disposal of needles and other disposable sharp instruments in convenient locations in barns housing competition horses. It is competition management’s responsibility to replace such containers when full and dispose of them properly. Competition management may fine any individuals including trainers, owners, exhibitors, or their agents up to $100 for improper disposal of needles or other sharp disposable instruments. If local law has different requirements, local law will prevail.

GR845 Equine Vaccination Rule 1. At Federation licensed competitions, horses entering the grounds must be accompanied by

documentation of Equine Influenza Virus and Equine Herpes Virus (Rhinopneumonitis) vaccinations within six months prior to

entering the stables. Horses not in compliance with this rule may be required to leave the competition grounds upon request by

Competition Management. Documentation should consist of one of the following methods mentioned below. The frequency of

vaccine administration should be per the vaccine manufacturers’ or veterinarian’s recommendations. It is recommended that vaccines

are administered by or under the direction of a veterinarian. 2. In the case of vaccines administered by a veterinarian, the exhibitor,

upon request by Competition Management, must provide documentation from the veterinarian on documenting that the horse in

question received the vaccinations; name of the vaccines and date of vaccine administration. 3. In the case of vaccines administered by

a person other than a veterinarian, the exhibitor, upon request by Competition Management, must provide a receipt of the vaccine

purchase which is signed by the owner, or agent with care, custody, and control of the horse; name, serial number and expiration date

of the vaccine; and date of vaccine administration. 4. In the case of a horse that is unable to receive either of the vaccinations due to a

history of adverse reactions, the exhibitor, upon request by Competition Management, must provide a letter from the veterinarian on

official letterhead stating that the horse in question cannot be vaccinated due to medical concerns and a log of temperatures taken twice

daily for the seven days prior to entering the competition grounds. These horses must also have their temperature taken and logged

twice daily while on the competition grounds. The log of temperatures should be provided to the Competition Management, steward,

or technical delegate when requested. 5. Competition Management may not amend or enhance vaccination requirements without prior

approval of the Veterinary Committee. BOD 1/17/15 Effective 12/1/15.

THE RULES MAY HAVE CHANGED FROM THE CURRENT RULE BOOK. IT IS THE COMPETITORS’ RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THE CURRENT

All questions not covered in these rules and regulations shall be decided by the show management whose

decision shall be final.

Every horse entered for competition will comply with the rules of the horse show management, but management

will, in no case, be responsible for any loss or damage that may occur, and it shall be condition of entry that each

exhibitor shall hold this horse show and the officials and employees of the show blameless for any loss or

accident to his horse, employees, equipment, which may occur from sickness, fire or otherwise.

The management reserves the right to refuse, accept conditionally, or to cancel any entries, disqualify any riders

or exhibitors, prohibit entries and cancel award prizes without claims for damages; to cancel or combine unfilled

classes, or to reschedule classes after due notice to exhibitors; to change rings or rotate judges.

Exhibitors are notified that any act of discourtesy or disobedience to the judges or officials, on the part of the

owner, manager, rider, or groom shall disqualify the horse, and the owner shall forfeit his entry fee and other

fees.

Show management reserves to itself the power to prohibit any person from attending or showing a horse in the

ring and to remove any groom or horse from the show without being liable for compensation.

No person will be allowed in the show ring during the time of judging except the exhibitor and those having

official or requested duties to perform.

It is the tradition of the show that riders be correctly attired for the class in question, that attendants be neatly

dressed and the horses properly presented. Management may in its discretion bar any person from entering the

ring if not suitable presented to appear before an audience.

Southwest Dressage Championship Qualifying Classes will be governed by the rules published in the current SWDC/Region 9 Omnibus and/or on web site www.swdressage.org. Each rider must declare the division in which they are competing prior to each attempt at a qualifying ride at SWDC qualifying shows or for a score submitted under the rules (Amateur, Open, or Junior/Young Rider) and must provide proof of eligibility in the case of Amateur and Junior/Young Riders. Adult Amateur and Junior/Young Riders may also qualify for the Open division. Separate scores must be earned for each division. At the Championships, they must enter each division separately and ride in each division separately. There is no requirement of citizenship or horse/rider/owner registrations for SWDC, but each horse/rider pair must comply with USEF and competition rules.

ENTRY AGREEMENT By entering the Haras Spring Festival (the “Competition”) and signing this entry blank on behalf of myself, my child, my principals,

representatives, employees and agents, I agree that I am subject to the applicable rules governing the competition (i.e., the rules of

the USDF/USDF) as well as the local rules of the competition. I agree to be bound by the Rules. I will accept as final the decision of

the competition officials on any question arising under the Rules, and agree to release and hold harmless the competition, the

licensing organization, their officials, directors, employees, agents and assigns for any action taken under the Rules. I represent that I

am eligible to enter and/ or participate under the Rules, and every horse I am entering is eligible as entered. I also agree that as a

condition of and in consideration of acceptance of entry, the competition may use or assign photographs, videos, audios, cable-

casts, or other likenesses of me and my horse taken during the course of the competition for the promotion, coverage or benefit of

the competition, sport, and/or the licensing organization.

hereby expressly and irrevocably waive and release any rights in connection with such use, including any claim to compensation,

invasion of privacy, right of publicity, or misappropriation. The construction and application of the Rules are governed by and

construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, and all actions to enforce, dispute or assert any claims under this

agreement shall be brought in the courts of the competent jurisdiction in Harris County, Texas.

Release, Assumption of Risk, Waiver, and Indemnification

This document waives important legal rights. Read it carefully before signing.

I AGREE in consideration for my participation in this Competition to the following:

I AGREE that I choose to participate voluntarily in the Competition with my horse as a rider owner, or as parent

or guardian of a junior exhibitor. I am fully aware and acknowledge that horse sports and the Competition involve

inherent dangerous risks of accident, loss, and serious bodily injury including, but not limited to, broken bones, head

injuries, trauma, pain, suffering, or death (collectively “Harm”).

I AGREE to release the Competition and Confederation for Working Equitation, USEF, USDF or other sponsoring

organization (hereinafter “the applicable sponsoring organization”) from all claims for damages or otherwise for any

Harm to me or my horse, and for any Harm caused by me or my horse to others, even if the HARM resulted, directly or

indirectly, from the negligence of the Competition.

I AGREE to expressly assume all risks of HARM to me my horse, and/or my child, including HARM resulting from

the negligence of the Competition.

I AGREE to indemnify (that is, to pay any losses, damages, or costs incurred by) the competition and the

applicable sponsoring organization, and to hold them harmless with respect to claims for Harm to me, my horse, and/or

my child, and for claims made by others for any Harm caused by me, my horse, and/or my child at the Competition. I

understand that I and my child are required to wear protective equipment.

If I am a parent or guardian of a junior exhibitor, I consent to my child’s participation and AGREE to assume all of the

obligations of this Release on behalf of my child.

I AGREE that the “Competition” as used herein includes all of the officials, officers, directors, employees, agents,

personnel, and volunteers of the Competition, the applicable sponsoring organization as well as any affiliated

organizations.

I AGREE that if I am injured at this Competition, the medical personnel treating my injuries may provide

information on my injury and treatment to the Competition. I represent that I have the requisite training, coaching and

abilities to safely compete in this competition.

BY SIGNING BELOW, I AGREE to be bound by all applicable Rules and all terms and provisions of this entry blank.

of your entry form should be signed. The Trainer Box should be signed by the adult responsible for the horse on the show grounds. For JR/YR, this should be the parent’s signature (or the accompanying adult).

A LEGIBLE copy of a current Coggins dated within 12 months of the last date of the show must be included. The name on the Coggins MUST match the horse’s show name or a notarized letter from the vet must accompany the Coggins.

Current USEF/USDF cards must be included with entry. To be registered in Adult Amateur classes, your card must note your amateur status. Both rider and owner must be a member of USEF and a participating member of USDF for ride in qualifying classes to count. Owner may be a USDF Business Member.

Horse’s USDF registration must be included. If you’re riding in qualifying classes, you must also have a copy of your horse’s USEF registration.

Make checks or money orders made payable to Haras Training, LLC. Visa, Mastercard, and Discover credit card payments are accepted; no AMEX. If paying entries by credit card, a 3.5% processing fee will be added to your total fees.

All entries using credit card for payment must use the online entry at www.ShowSecretary.com

Entries must be POSTMARKED by or on the closing date.

PLEASE NOTE: Any entry that does not include the above upon receipt will be assessed an incomplete fee. Any entry that does not include the above by the closing date will be considered late and will be assessed a late fee. Packets and ride times will not be distributed for incomplete entries.
