2 Teaspoons of CHARACTER Patrick Seamus Flaherty’s nick name was Mighty Mouse, the main character. Mooch was also a fellow Marine who always asks for people’s food. Bebop was a Jazz musician and Patrick’s best friend. The Professor, was a fellow Marine who spent a couple years in college.

2 Tablespoons of EXCITEMENT

The most exiting part was the battle of Khe Saun. At this time their life was hard. They lived in the Hills in trenches. Often they had to keep low so would not be shot or harmed by Mortar shells. Patrick and his friends held Hill 881S against enemy attack. Much of the time they were muddy, tired, and board.

I liked how Bebop and Patrick became friends although they were different. The part I did not like was when Bebop died. I think boys my age might like the book. They would like it because there is a lot of action.

B. 1 Teaspoon of Recommendation: I wanted to read what it was like was being a Marine. I like camping and being outdoors like Patrick. I would not like all the fighting and being dirty all the time. I like going to other counties, but in peace not in war. Going to other countries is very fun trust me.
