HARDNESSMATTERS

DuraScan G5Automatic Micro/Macro Hardness Tester

2

DuraScan G5 micro/macro hardness testers are designed for fast, accurate and repeatable Vickers, Knoop and Brinell hardness testing in the laboratory. The wide load range means you can use a single hardness tester for multiple applications, and full automation of the test procedure means extremely short turn-around times.

Did you know...The new DuraScan range represents the fifth generation of highly successful hardness testers. Struers is committed to constant improvement by listening to our customers and understanding their evolving needs.

VERSATILITY

3

Versatility The unique test load range from 0.25 gf to 62.5 kgf means you can use DuraScan G5 for many different applications that previously required both a micro and a macro indentation hardness tester. Saving you both time and money.

Repeatability Load cell technology ensures that the DuraScan G5 not only conforms to all standards but offers the highest possible degree of accuracy and repeatability throughout its entire load range.

Fast testingDuraScan G5 lets you change test method and load immediately. The automatic turret and the ecos Workflow™ software mean full automation of the entire test cycle of loading, indenting, unloading, focusing and evaluation. A motorized stage can be used to run entire test series automatically, saving time and allowing the operator to attend to other tasks.

Versatile and fast hardness testing ensuring repeatability over a wide load range

The hardness testing workflow step by stepThe ecos workflow software follows the natural flow in hardness testing. It makes machine operation easier and requires a mini-mum of training. The software guides you through setting up and running the hardness test, with each tab-page representing each step in the hardness testing workflow.

DuraScan-10 and -20 G5Hardness testing made easyIntuitive software guarantees ease of use. Auto focus and automatic hardness evaluation adds accuracy and repeatability to these semi-automatic testers.

Asymmetric and compact designDespite a small footprint the DuraScan G5 is capable of testing large samples due to its asymmetric design. There are no limitations to depth of sample which also means faster positioning of samples.

Vertical test head and fixed anvil/stageAccurate and reproducible results regardless of sample size and excellent working comfort.

2nd overview (macro) camera Shorter set-up time and inclusion of overview image in the test report.(DuraScan-70/-80 G5)

Versatile overview cameraWith the overview camera you can analyse the entire specimen in a low magnification macro view, easily enabling you to position and place the test points. This is particularly useful for testing large or multiple specimens and welds.

Advanced auto focusThe advanced auto focus technology and high quality optics provide perfect auto focusing even on non-reflective surfaces as on etched or welded surfaces.

Increases automation and minimises the need for calibration.

With the overview camera you can analyse the en-tire specimen in a low magnification macro view, easily enabling you to position and place the test points. This is particularly useful for testing large specimens, multiple specimens and welds.

DuraScan G5 is second to none when it comes to automatic case hardness depth measuring (CHD) and weld testing. DuraScan G5 lets you perform reliable case depth evaluations and hardness testing of welds faster than other testers in its class.

DuraScan G5 offers you significant productivity and quality gains with the following time-saving features like easy test point editor, automatic stop at defined hardness limit (for CHD), automatic indent spacing and graphical projection of case depth evaluation.
