“Dewan Abdul Gani college, which came into existence in 1994 at Harirampur in the district of Dakshin Dinajpur, is one of the leading co-educational degree college under the affiliation to University of North Bengal and to Gour Banga University, Malda from the year2008.

Role of Education in bringing about communal harmony

Education makes us what we are and what we are not. It plays a vital role in building communal harmony and national integrity. For a multi-religious, multi-lingual, multi-cultural and multi -regional Indian society National Integration is a cardinal necessity. If people acquire proper education they will be able to think rationally, make proper judgements, take right decisions and avoid conflict in the community and the nation at large. Knowledge is acquired not only through formal education but also through informal ones. The ultimate purpose of education should be to develop a democratic, rational, receptive mind in its citizens. Only then can there prevail peace, harmony and lead to the development a democratic republic .Only a proper education can help a country to march forward and help its citizens to become global citizens.
