Making the most of your Jobs Fair
Message from Robert Halfon MP:
“Whilst unemployment has been going down in
Harlow over the past few months, it still remains a
serious problem. That is why I do a lot of work to
encourage apprenticeships and supporting people
to get back into work. I have organised this Jobs Fair
in order to help bring jobs back to Harlow. In
particular, I am grateful for the huge support of
community people like Mike Jackson MBE and Ian Hudson from the Harlow
Chamber of Commerce and particular thanks to Jobcentre Plus and Seetec. I
am delighted to have the generous support of major companies such as
McDonalds, Monster, Asda, Raytheon, McKenzie Arnold, Smiths Industries,
Frontline Printing and more.”

reception when you arrive and throughout the day. If there is a particular workshop that
you are keen to take part in, be sure to arrive early to save your space!

Thank you and Acknowledgments
Special thanks go to the hard work of Mike Jackson MBE, for his continuous commitment to
help the Harlow Community. Without Mike, the Jobs Fair in Harlow would not have been
able to happen, as he has spent many hours using his experience to make sure this event is
a success.
Ian Hudson, at the Harlow Chamber of Commerce, has dedicated time and effort to the
event and I praise him for his hard work.
Jobcentre Plus have been on board from day one and helped out in every way that they
could. Special thanks go to Ronke Abass, Liz Hand and Jill Rogers.
Frontline Printing, a Harlow based company, printed the leaflets free of charge for this event
and my thanks go to Jason Woolf for accommodating this.
Harlow College have supported this event from the beginning by encouraging their students
to take part in the Fair. Most of the volunteers on the day will be Harlow College Students
who have given up their time to help support this event.
Anglia Ruskin University have sponsored the event and ensured that we had the facilities we
needed to make the event happen.
John Tennison from Smiths Industries has also sponsored the event and continues to
support the Harlow Community as a local company.
Tonia Gosling and Pat Hay at the Leisurezone have kindly allowed us access to their facilities
for the day and we are privileged to be able to use the fantastic state of the art centre.
Cllr Janice Elliot from Bishops Stortford has worked hard to sign up Businesses for the event
and to encourage people to attend as guests.
Khaled Khan from Natwest Harlow has supported the Jobs Fair team with his expertise.
Louise Oliver from SR Events has supplied the tables for the event.
