John Battaglia, Capitol Commission, updated us on his ministry to Missouri state legislators on the 24th. We are busy preparing for VBS, which begins the last day of May, running (evenings) from May 31 - June 5 (Sunday - Friday). Calvary: We called Dr. Don Satterwhite as our pastor on May 3 and he will begin on June 10. We welcome him and his wife, Marie. The Ladies Ministries met with Donna Points. The monthly Men and Boys Breakfast was held in May. There was a large attendance at the Spring Fling to meet the new pastor and his wife on April 25. Choir is working on Fourth of July music. Camp Branch: The monthly breakfast was held. The Ladies Bible Study met with Jeanette Pahlow. We continue to collect items for Shoe Boxes each month. One was baptized on May 3, also. Our graduating high school and college seniors were recognized in the 10:45 am service on May 10. FBC Educational Scholarships were also awarded to three students, and two winners of the Bill G. McLaughlin Scholarship. Homemade cookies and flowers were taken to some of our Sedalia school teachers on May 13, as a reminder that we are always praying for them. A crew worked at the Embassy Women’s House on May 16, remodeling a bathroom and putting up sheetrock. Flat Creek: We served dinner at the Community Cafe on May 1. On May 9, members gathered to clean-up and cut down a dead tree on the property. Ladies were recognized on Mother's Day and given a gift. Hopewell: Please continue to pray for Pastor Ed Broyles. A big "Thank you" to Annette Cornine for getting and potting the flowers for us! We are receiving offerings for the Orval Woolery Associational Missions Offering this month. Pray for the Supreme Court

We encourage you to pray. Pray that the Supreme Court will rule in a way pleasing unto God by upholding His definition of marriage as being between a man and a woman. Pray that God will raise-up lawmakers who will pass righteous, God-honoring laws. Ask God what He would have you do. And pray that God will send a great spiritual awakening throughout our nation.

Missions and Ministry Banquet Report

New Hope Baptist church hosted the M&M Banquet on Tuesday, April 21 with 79 people in attendance. The guests enjoyed a pasta dinner with meat balls,

salad, delicious Italian bread, and cookies for dessert. The theme of the evening was “Light of Love” which was inspired by Psalm 119:105, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.”

Special music was performed by a very talented young lady, Hollee Akers, to start the program. The first speaker, Jeanette Pahlow, shared some very moving statistics from her organiza-tion, Birthright, which offers caring assistance to young mothers. Next the group was entertained by Jan McDowell and Jamie Poppinga who shared about plans for the upcoming 2015 Kids Kamp program. The next person that shared with the group was Sue Foster and she spoke on the Summer Food Program which provides food for the youth in our area during the summer months. Follow-ing Sue’s presentation, the group heard from Jerry Jones who shared some very enlightening experiences he has had while conducting the Jail Ministry program which serves individuals who have a great need to understand God’s unfailing and forgiving love. The final speaker of the evening was Brenda Moore who prepares meals at the Senior Center in Sedalia. She explained how valuable this program is to the senior citizens it serves and invited those that have time to spend with this special group of people to join in the fun times.

The evening provided a wonderful platform for these organizations to share about the work they are doing that has been directed by God’s light. There were also many tables set up that shared posters, pictures and information from these organizations as well as many more, including Project Parachute, Kids Across America, the upcoming Mexico Mission Trip and missionary works done by the youth group at First Baptist Church. The evening was concluded with door prize drawings in which the winners were given the flowers that decorated the banquet tables.
