Preliminary Disciplines and Services ProvidedThe majority of our work falls into three categories: Industrial, Office, and Health Care Facilities. We have however, completed projects in many specific categories such as Municipal Buildings, Plastics, Laboratory, Manufacturing, Metal Processing Plants, Food Product, Cooler/Freezer Facilities and Paper Production Facilities. We have won a number of state and national design awards from the Society of American Registered Architects and local municipalities. We pride ourselves in providing a full scope of Architectural Services including, Master Planning, Consulting, Landscape Design, Site Investigation, Design Schematics, Design Development, Construction Documents, Specifications, Contract Administration, CAD Software, 3-D Software and Rendering, LEED® Design and LEED AP Management.

BIM

BIM means so many different things to different people in and out of the design industry. It is important to establish what Building Information Modeling (BIM) is. BIM is a flexible, single source, three-dimensional visual design and information management software used as an alternative to the traditional two-dimensional CAD drafting.

The Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design, LEED® Green Building Rating System™ is a voluntary, consensus-based national standard for developing high-performance, sustainable buildings. Buildings that meet or exceed the standards outlined in the LEED Rating System can pursue LEED certification ranging from “Certified” through “Platinum” depending on the amount of energy and environmental credits achieved.

Our team of 4 LEED Accredited Professionals are experienced in the LEED process and can provide customized LEED services for your project.  Whether you’re looking to investigate environmentally responsible building design ideas or desire full LEED AP services for registration and certification of a facility, the team at Harris Architects will work with you to implement the program of LEED criteria to achieve your facility’s energy and environmental goals.

Harris Architects and Target Corporation have worked together as a team since 1997. Our first project was a 1.6 million S.F. Target Regional Distribution Center in Tyler, Texas. At the time, this was the largest concrete tilt-wall project in the U.S. Harris Architects was successful in developing this facility into a national prototype for Target.
