Harris County Delinquent Tax Sale and Trustee Sale Effective February 2, 2016 New Sale Location: Bayou City Event Center 9401 Knight Road Houston, TX 77045 When: The first Tuesday of every month, beginning February 2, 2016 Time: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM New Experience: The new sale location was authorized by Harris County Commissioners Court on October 27, 2015. The new sale location will be indoors to protect all participants from weather and eliminate most traffic noise. Convenient parking is provided on- site. The parking will be free for the first six months. The new sale location will also offer both restroom facilities and food and beverage service to sale participants. Please note that outside food and drink are not allowed inside the new sale location. The new sale location is conveniently located southeast of NRG Park, with access to public transportation nearby. NOTE: All public notices will continue to be posted at the Family Law Center.

NEW Bidder Registration Law Effective 1/1/2016

Requirements:

• You must register BEFORE tine Tax Sale to be able to bid. • You must have a valid, government issued ID. • You CANNOT have delinquent taxes due for any property in Harris County. • You must renew your registration annually.

Note: The Written Statement of Taxes will no longer be required for buyers. This has been replaced by a statement attesting you have no delinquent taxes due, which you will sign both when you register and again at renewal.

How to Register (starting in December, 2015):

• In person: Complete and submit the "Tax Sale Bidder Registration" form at the registration table on the day of the Tax Sale.

• By mail: Complete and then print the "Tax Sale Bidder Registration" form from the FORMS section of our website. Mail to: 1001 Preston, Houston, Texas 77002 - Attn: Tax Sales.

• Online at www.hctax.net: Select Property Tax, then Delinquent Tax Sales. Click on the blue Registration of Bidders button, then click on Register to enter and submit your information.

// acting as an agent for another person or company: • You must register separately for each owner you represent. • You must provide written proof of authorization to bid for that person or company.

How to Obtain your Bidder Card:

• If you have pre-registered, you can pick up your Written Registration Statement (Bidder Card) from the Will Call window on the day of the Tax Sale.

• If you register the day of the sale, you will receive your Bidder Card at the registration table.

Keep this card with you through the expiration date for use at all Tax Sales.
