HART protocol has a min. sensitivity of 200 mV p-p.This also means that for 1 mA p-p (+0.5 mA to –0.5 mA) FSK current modulation, min. load is 200 according to Ohm’s Law.

Overview of P+F HART Multiplexer
1. One FI-PFH-XXXXXX connector can be connected up to 16 HART transmitters/positioners.
2. One HART Multiplexer Slave KFD0-HMS-16 can be connected to one FI-PFH-XXXXXX connector through 26 way ribbon cable.
3. One HART Multiplexer Master KFD2-HMM-16 can also be connected to one FI-PFH-XXXXXX connector through 26 way ribbon cable.
4. One HART Multiplexer Master KFD2-HMM-16 can be connected to 15 HART Multiplexers Slave KFD0-HMS-16 through 14 way ribbon cable.
5. One HART Multiplexer Master KFD2-HMM-16 with 15 HART Multiplexers Slave KFD0-HMS-16 can be
connected up to 255 HART transmitters. {( 1+15 ) x 16 } -1= 255.
6. Up to 31 HART Multiplexers Master KFD2-HMM-16 can be connected through RS-485 physical layer. Using RS-485/RS-232 converter, it can communicate through Personal Computer.
7. One Personal Computer can communicate to 7,905 HART transmitters/positioners [ {( 1+15 ) x 16 } -1 ] x 31 = 7,905 using 31 HART Multiplexers Master KFD2-HMM-16 and 465 HART Multiplexers Slave KFD0-HMS-16.
8. Three most popular maintenance software supported are, ‘AMS’, ‘Valve Manager’ & ‘Cornerstone’.
