Brazilian VisitingScholars and Fellows2017 - 2018

Who are de Brazilian Visiting Scholars and Fellows?

Visiting Scholars and Fellows typically have access to Harvard facilities, library and labs so they can conduct research on an approved topic while in residence.

Depending on their Harvard host institution, Visiting Scholars and Fellows may be provided shared office space, computer, library borrowing privileges, access to University events, and oppostunities to audit classes and attend seminars in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and other Harvard professional schools. Appointments are typically for one or two semesters.

Some of the visiting opportunities may also provide Scholars and Fellows support for their living expenses while at Harvard.

Visiting Scholars & Fellows from Brazil - 2017-2018

Each year, anumber of distinguished scholars and practitioners from and focused on Brazil spend a semester or more at Harvard University to work on research, writing or other professional projects.At least 22 Brazilian Visiting Scholars and Fellows are at Harvard during the 2017-2018 academic year.Together, they form a robust and diverse community with strong ties to and interests in Brazil, as well as a shared passion for increasing the country’s global engagement.

Brazilian Visiting Scholars and Fellows at Harvard can play an important role in helping high-potential, motivated applicants from Brazil to:

• Better understand the Visiting Scholar experience;

• Mentor potential applicants;

• Help welcome the next cohort of Brazilian Visiting Scholars and Fellows on campus in Cambridge and Boston.
