The Oaks and The Derby follow on from Newmarket. These are hosted at Epsom racecourse to the south west of London. Derby Day is smart and a key part of English Society. Ladies Day comes in June here, so the sun should shine - we hope - and fine attire can match fine headgear. Ladies Day is the day for 3 year old fillies to be run. This will also see the most unbelievable turnout of hats and fascinators. Dress up and be seen is the motto of many. However, nothing beats Royal Ascot, a meeting near the Berkshire town, and famous throughout the world. Those in the know come for its racing. Others just come to see and be seen. Royal Ascot rules mean that hats or substantial fascinators are a must. This means a top hat for a gentleman, but for a lady the showier the better. Louise Blake is mad about hats and facsinators and racing. It's lucky the three go together. She just loves wearing fascinators and will probably be seen at Ascot this year in a silver fascinator.
