Peggy, Kathy, and Lisa-
I wanted to let you know that three of UPMC Passavant employees were selected to be delegates at the September National Convention in Nashville.
Joy Bohan, Steve Brunish, and myself have been selected through the Western Pa Emergency Nurses Association Chapter to represent t he State of PA.
What this means- we will attend the conference and throughout 1 Yi days we will review policy/procedure/process/research to see if changes need to be made to our practice.
I am very excited to join my fellow coworkers on this journey in September.
I wanted to make you aware because they are very humble and would not let you know of their great work! I consider myself very lucky to work with these individuals!
Thank you,
Betsy

wake up and discover how to Control needle stick Pain! How many of us have seen manly men go to the ground at the sight of a tetanus shot needle? Heard the frightened voice of a child saying “Am I going to get a needle?” Felt the frustration of needing to stick our patients a second time and inflicting more pain? Join us this morning as we take a look at this important issue through the lens of our patients. We will discuss simple strategies to help reduce our patients’ pain and our anxiety as a clinician. What more can we ask for at 6 am; a great breakfast, the company of great colleagues, a light and lively presentation and the opportunity to enhance our skills.
