Low Energy and Low CostBy means of the new cooling water flow system (ACA flow), a standard frame size accommodating large chilled water/cooling
water temperature differential is realized. By improvement of control of solution circulating quantity, a 10% improvement in
average load factor is achieved in partial load characteristics.
High ReliabilityA high functionality microcomputer control panel with a complete set of preventive maintenance and abnormality forecast
functions is a standard feature.
Standard cooling capability realizing up to 4,000hrs/yr operation.
Superior Operability and Easy MaintenanceOperating condition or abnormalities are quickly shown on easy-to-see liquid crystal digital and LED displays. Full automation of
purging operation is realized by use of water ejector purging device which does not use electricity and can purge out any non-
condensed gases. Compatible with air conditioning system interfaces and supports introduction of remote supervision
system.
Large-Temperature-Differential SystemBy using the large-temperature-differential system, the circulating volumes of chilled and cooling water can be reduced. The
large-temperature-differential system reduces power needed for circulating air and water, because of reduced volumes of the
draught from the air conditioner fan and of the circulating water from the chilled and cooling water pumps. In addition, it makes
such facilities as air ducts and chilled/cooling water pipes smaller, and also reduces the initial cost for them.

High Performance Microcomputer.Electric power saving with large-temperature differential chilled/cooling water system.
Stable and reliable operation with crystallization freeIn the parallel flow system, the diluted solution coming out of the
absorber is divided into two flows. These two flows of solution
are sent to the high-temperature and low-temperature generators
separately. The system holds the flow pressure of the high-
temperature generator lower than the series flow (indicated by
“①”in the figure), while keeping an enough margin for
crystallization in a low-temperature condition (indicated by “②” in
the figure).
In addition, the performance of absorption cycle is increased
because the rate of solution flow into the high-temperature
generator is made lower than that of series flow.
High Efficiency OperationIn addition to the parallel flow system, Shinsung′s new proprietary flow technology (ACA flow technology) is employed in the
cooling water system. Without increasing the chiller frame size, the adaptation to large chilled/cooling water temperature
differentials has been made possible. Accordingly, energy-saving and low operating cost (by reduction of start-up and other
operating costs) are achieved not only for the chiller but for air-conditioning as well.

●Low internal pressure during operationThe internal pressure of the high-temperature generator depends on the concentration of lithium bromidein the low-temperature generator. With the parallel flow system, the weakest solution coming out of theabsorber is fed to the high-temperature generator considerably lower than atmospheric pressure. As aresult, the system can be operated in a cycle with a sufficient margin with respect to atmosphericpressure.
●Energy savingBecause the parallel flow system divides the flow of solution in two to feed the two generators(high-temperature generator) with solution, the quantity of solution that is handled in the solution heatexchangers can be almost halved.Therefore, it is possible to greatly save energy by using a small heat exchangers. As a result, an additionalenergy saving effect can be realized with an uncomplicated reasonable design.
●Because of its compact size, the whole unit can be carried in at onceBecause it is unnecessary to feed solution from the high-temperature generator can be arranged diagonallybeneath the main unit shell. This results in a smaller width of the whole unit. Therefore, the unit can becarried in and installed without being divided into pieces.
●Stability and high reliabilityThe concentration of solution at the absorber inlet where the temperature is lowest is lower with a parallelflow system than with a series flow system, and sufficiently distant from the limit of crystal precipitation(the limit for solution to crystallize) Therefore, the system operates safely with no anxiety of crystallization.Because of its compact size, the whole unit can be carried in at once without being divided into pieces.Therefore, the reliability proved by strict air strict air tightness test in the fabrication plant is not degraded.
