It has been yet another busy and exciting week at Devonshire; theres always so many things going on! Weve just waved 2C off. Today they are going, as part of the wider curriculum experiences we offer, on a trip to Lancaster Castle. Theyll have a great time! We now have six Devonshire Values that the children follow: Resilience, Respect, Pride, Integrity, Cooperation and Honesty. This half term the classes have been focusing on Integrity. Our Star of the Week winners this week have just been announced and it always makes me very proud to hear such amazing reports from staff; Im sure it makes their parents proud too! At Devonshire Primary Academy we have been taking the news of the Coronavirus very seriously. In addition to the posters we shared a couple of weeks ago, you should now have also had the letter giving you information about the preventative measures we are taking in school. If you have not had this important letter, please let the office know. We are determined to ensure that we keep our school community up to date with all the latest information and keep our children as safe as possible. There are lots of things to look forward to before the end of term: a reminder that on 27 th March we have a non-uniform day for the chocolate bingo event on 6 th April – the children are asked to bring in some chocolate by way of a donation. Were also really looking forward to the Choir of the Year event on 23 rd April. Were hoping to repeat last years amazing performance and result. I hope you all have a safe, pleasant and restful weekend.
