Dr. Manuel Hernandez, FACEP, MBA, MDWith more than 20 years of administrative and clinical experience in both the private and public healthcare sectors, Manny Hernandez leads Cannon Design’s Healthcare Performance Initiative—an essential component of the firm’s architectural team structure that provides consulting services to help optimize clinical operations, service excellence, strategic planning initiatives and improve financial outcomes for healthcare organizations.
A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Hernandez holds a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of California at Irvine and has been an invited presenter on the performance and operational efficiency of many aspects of healthcare. He has authored several publications and is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians.
Gail C. Allen, RN, BSN Gail C. Allen is a clinical strategist for Herman Miller, Inc., Zeeland, Michigan. Gail brings clinical and leadership experience as she assists healthcare customers during the design of adaptive spaces utilizing Herman Miller products. For over twenty years she has assisted architects, designers, equipment planners, project coordinators and healthcare professionals in planning efficient work flow and promoting patient/caregiver safety and quality care in clinical departments. Gail is a Certified Nurse Administrator and is listed in Who’s Who in American Nursing. She is a member of the Emergency Nurses Association, the Association of Operating Room Nurses, and the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management.
