The  Healthcare  Facility  will  provide  a  range  of  services  for  Tallahassee  residence,  and  is  located  off  Miccosukee  road  &  Surgeons  drive  in  Tallahassee,  Florida.    This  facility  will  

provide  adequate  space  to  accommodate  various  specialized  services  while  also  providing  a  sufficient  floor  plan  for  both  staff  and  paEents  alike.  

     

DESIGN  STATEMENT  

The  services  to  be  provide  include  but  are  not  limited  to:  •   prevenDve  medicine  

•   minor  wound  and  injury  care  •   asthma  and  seasonal  allergies  

•   weight  management  •   adult  and  geriatric  care  

• adult  and  child  immunizaDons  •   annual  and  school  physicals  

•   well  child  exams  •   women’s  healthcare  

•   gynecology  and  STD  screenings  • prenatal  and  pregnancy  care  

• family  treatment  • health  educaDon  workshops.  

Hospital  staffing  will  consist  of:    

3  Physicians  9  Nurses  

Case  Manager  /  Social  Worker  Financial  Counselor  Technical  Staff  Support  Staff  Janitorial  Staff  

                     CONCEPT:  MOON  

The  health  facility  will  encompass  characterisEcs  of  the  moon  by  :    Soothing  color  scheme  :    Blues,  purples  and  grays,  warm  beiges  and  creams.  `  Light:    Coved  lighDng,  Recessed,  AcousDcal  Dles,  Dropped  beams    

Wall  surface  (shape)  are  curved.  Some  include  wall  niches.    Materials:  Natural  sustainable  products:  Glass,  slate,  marble,  Dle.  Floor  paZerns  assimilate  the  moons  surface.    Ease  of  way  finding:  Open  floor  plan,    dual  transient  access.    Sound  control:    AcousDcal  panels,  separate  child's  play  area.
