Suicide Prevention: What Can You Do For a Friend?
◙If you have concerns about someone who talks about suicide:
◙Stay with the person. Initiate a conversation and show concern.
◙Ask questions to find out if they are thinking about making a suicide attempt.
◙Encourage them to talk further and help them to find appropriate counseling assistance.
◙Encourage the person to develop a personal safety plan including time spent with others, check-in points with significant adults, plans for the future.
