MAJORs ClubThe Division of Health, Physical
Education and Recreation has a two-fold
responsibility. The first is to develop a
campus-wide program of health, safety,
physical education, and recreation
experiences to help all students achieve and
maintain a high level of mental, physical, and
social competence. The second is to train
teachers, coaches, fitness leaders, athletic
trainers, and recreation leaders capable of
advancing high standards in their profession.
Student-led associations help fund raise and
develop campus awareness, attend
professional conferences and socialize on
fun trips and barbeques.
HPER Degree OptionsThe Department of Health, Physical
Education, and Recreation offers the
Bachelor of Science in Education degree
in Health, Physical Education, and
Recreation; the Bachelor of Science
degree in Athletic Training; and the
Bachelor of Science degree in Health,
Physical Education, and Recreation that
includes concentrations in Physical
Education, Recreation, Sports
Information, Sports Management, and
Exercise Science. The advanced degree
offered by the department is the Master
of Education in Health, Physical
Education, and Recreation.
