KEYNOTE & FORUM SPEAKER

YBhg Tan Sri Dato’ Dr Abu Bakar Suleiman | Chairman, IMU Group, Malaysia

Recognised locally and internationally, Dr Abu Bakar Suleiman had represented Malaysia in the

World Health Assembly, Geneva (WHO), WHO Western Pacific Regional Committee (Manila),

WHO Committee on Strategic Plan for Health Research Implementation, Coordinating Committee

Southeast Asian Medical Information Center (SEAMIC, Tokyo) and Governing Board for SEMEO-

TROPMED (Bangkok). He was also Chairman for the Western Pacific Region’s regional committee

in 1994. In 2018, he was awarded the BIM Professional Excellence Award for the Medical and

Healthcare Category by the Balai Ikhtisas Malaysia and lMSN Fellowship Award by the Malaysian

Nephrology Society (MSN). He is currently the President and Board of Governors for the National

Kidney Foundation (NKF) and the Chairman of the Medical Defence Malaysia. Dr Abu Bakar

Suleiman was appointed Director General of Health Malaysia from 1991-2001. He later assumed

position as the President of International Medical University from 2001-2017 and was Chairman of

IHH Healthcare from 2011-2017. He is currently the Chairman of IMU Group.

FORUM SPEAKER

Dr Fazilah Shaik Allaudin | Senior Deputy Director, Ministry of Health Malaysia

Dr. Fazilah is presently the Senior Deputy Director of Planning Division, Ministry of Health

Malaysia. Her responsibilities cover planning of Health Policies, Facility and eHealth. Prior to this,

she has had various roles including Director of Telehealth Division and Deputy Director of Selayang

Hospital. She has been with the Ministry of Health for over 25 years, mainly in managing new

health facility development projects and Hospital Information Systems planning, project

management and implementation. Since 2010, she has been leading digital strategy for the

national health system transformation agenda and is extensively involved in digital health &

innovation strategies in both public and private sector. In her current capacity, her role covers

eHealth collaborations domestically, regionally and globally and has been engaged by WHO for

eHealth expert consultations and eHealth missions. She is professionally certified in enterprise

architecture (TOGAF 9.0) and in governance & management of enterprise IT (COBIT 5.0).

FORUM SPEAKER

Raju Chellam | Vice President, New Technologies, Fusionex International, Singapore

Raju Chellam is Vice President of New Technologies at Fusionex International. He’s been in the

ICT industry for the last 35 years & was previously South Asia Head of Big Data, Cloud,

Healthcare & Government at Dell EMC. Raju sits on various IT committees in the Government

of Singapore & has authored a book called “Organ Gold” on the illegal trade in human organs

on the Dark Web. The book is available in print at Kinokuniya Malaysia & on Amazon Kindle.

Azran Osman-Rani | Chief Executive Officer, Naluri, Malaysia

Azran is an entrepreneur, speaker, and author. He is the founding CEO of Naluri, a digital health

technology company that provides a cost-effective and accessible digital health psychology

services, to help users adopt healthier lifestyle behaviour changes to prevent or manage chronic

illnesses. He is active in the internet technology space as a co-founder, investor and advisor to iflix,

MoneyMatch, Cognifyx, Adventoro, and YellowPorter. He is the author of 30 Days and 30 Years, a

chronicle of his lessons learned building challenger businesses and navigating a turbulent and fast-

changing business landscape, including from his prior roles as CEO of AirAsia X, iflix, Business

Development Director for Astro, and with McKinsey & Company. He holds degrees in Engineering

from Stanford University and is an Ironman triathlete.

FORUM SPEAKER

Yaszrina bt Mohamad Yassin | Senior Program Manager, MDEC, Malaysia

A data science enthusiast and consultant, Yaszrina works in Malaysia Digital Economy

Corporation (MDEC) facilitate the high impact use cases in Malaysia as example in Big Data &

Analytics adoption. Started as a DSP software engineer in Malaysian Research Company and

also MNC, she utilizes her hardware and software knowledge to embark on cloud computing and

then onto optimization of algorithms on Big Data platform. She also holds 10 patents and 6

technical papers in local and international conferences. She is passionate on Big Data and

Analytics use cases that will help the data ecosystem in Malaysia and has worked on use cases

on climate change, early warning system for flood, GST, healthcare and traffic management.

Currently, she is doing data sharing policy that is crucial for deploying AI and Big Data Analytics

applications.

FORUM MODERATOR

Professor Dr Leong Chee Onn has conducted multi-year research focused on understanding of

the molecular pathogenesis of cancer and drug target discovery. Prof Leong was awarded the Top

Research Scientist Malaysia, ECOR Fund for Medical Discovery Award (USA), the Institute of

Biomedical Sciences President’s Award (UK), the Asian Clinical Oncology Society (ACOS) Award,

the MAKNA Cancer Research Award (Malaysia), and the Overseas Research Student Award

(UK).To date, he has published more than 100 research paper in high impact peer-reviewed

journals. His studies have provided new insights into the diverse functions of this gene family in

the development and spread of cancer by applying machine learning, bioinformatics and cutting

edge molecular biology techniques. Previously, he was appointed as the Senior Research Fellow

at the Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, USA when he

finished his PhD study from Nottingham University, United Kingdom. He also served as Head of

the Center for Cancer and Stem Cell Research from 2012 to 2018 and is currently the Deputy

Director of the Institute for Research, Development and Innovation (IRDI) at IMU.
