Changes in Health Insurance Affect Kentucky Families
• Affordable Care Act
• In 2010, 20.4% (+/- 0.5) of Kentuckians between the ages of 18 – 64 did not have health insurance
Participation in Kentucky Extension Programming has provided:
• 180,155 people the ability to utilize new decisions making skills for health
• 175,993 people with increased knowledge of diet and exercise changes for the improvement of health• 50,162 people made changes in their diet or
exercise routine to improve health
