research, he has served the ISHR as Secretary General from 1972-

Consultant Cardiolgist and Professor of Interventional

Cardiology at the University Hospitals of Leicester, UK.

Dr Gershlick maintains a significant research interest,

publishing extensively in the area of vessel wall/blood interactions,

especially those that occur following percutaneous coronary

intervention. A council member of the British Cardiac Society (BCS), Chairman of BCS
