cardiovascular pathophysiology and therapy of heart

research papers and 42 books. Recognized as a world leader in heart

research, he has served the ISHR as Secretary General from 1972-

1989 and as President Elect, President, and Past President from 1989-1998. Serving

as Executive Director of IACS since 1996 and Editor-in-Chief of Molecular and

Cellular Biochemistry since 1987. And in 1997 was made a Member of the Order of

Canada, Canada's highest civilian honour, for having distinguished himself in the

Cardiology at the University Hospitals of Leicester, UK.

Dr Gershlick maintains a significant research interest,

publishing extensively in the area of vessel wall/blood interactions,

especially those that occur following percutaneous coronary

intervention. A council member of the British Cardiac Society (BCS), Chairman of BCS

Frank van Leeuwen, got interested in cardiovascular

pharmaceutical company. Since 1992, Frank has been working at the Bakken
