Efficient technology coupled withease of operation

BOMAG offers two tandem rollers and onecombination rollers each in the 3 to 4 tonneclass, with working widths of 1.30 m or1.38 m. All the rollers are equipped with athree-cylinder Deutz engine, and high-effi-ciency hydraulics for travel drive, vibration,and steering. These are the most economicalrollers in their class.

All models have a suspended operator’sposition. The seat can be adjusted laterally,and is available with a double drive lever asan option. The rollers work either with doublevibration or with single vibration at the front.Automatic disconnection if the speed risestoo high avoids marks on the surface of theasphalt.

The pressurised water sprinkling system isvery reliable, with corrosion-free tanks andlines, and interval switch.

Integrated safetyThe roll-over protective (ROPS) structureand seat belt provide for operational safety,the ROPS being foldable as an option. A seatcontact switch and automatic spring-loaded

disk brakes are obligatory. All the rollers arecompact in design, and take up little spaceduring transport. The eyes integrated in thesupports allow for safe loading and securing.

BW 135The BW 135 AD is first choice for manysmall to medium-sized operations in high-way construction and agricultural road pro-jects. The machine weighs over three tons,and features an operating width of 1300 mm

respectively. It combines high static linearloads with large drum diameters – and thatmeans good compaction on asphalt. Amongthe areas of application are inner city deve-lopment projects, highways and estate roads,repair and maintenance and leisure andsportsground developments as well as agri-cultural road.

BW 138The BW 138 weighs in at over four tons, andwith an working width of 1380 mm and apowerful vibration system, this is the powerpack in the range.. With this kind of capacity,it can be put to work directly behind a smallerroad finisher, the ideal alternative to heavyrollers in the 6 to 8 tonne class.

Combination rollersCombination rollers are equipped on the rearwith two pairs of smooth tyres, the kneadingeffect of which helps seal the asphalt surface.Combination rollers are recommended forlayers which are critical when it comes toshoving, and for work on gradients.

Other advantages All these rollers have two frequencies for dif-ferent compaction tasks. The projection freesides makes for easy rolling against kerbs,walls or other obstacles. The solidly boltedcentre joint and thick wear-resistant drumcasings are excellent solutions to tough ope-rating situations.
