Maverick to Speak At Democratic Club Representative Maury Maverick of Texas will be the guest speaker at the Woman’s National Democratic Club at luncheon Monday. He will discuss "Our Neutrality Policy" and will be introduced by Mrs. Richard M. Kleburg, wife of Representative Kle- burg of Texas. Mrs. R. S. Lytle, wife of Lieut. Col. Lytle, U. S. A., arrived this week from Sanford. Fla., to be with her son-in- law and daughter, Lieut, and Mrs. E. N. Murray, for several weeks.

Mts. J. M. Greer left the post this week to be with her mother, Mrs. Katherine Chance in Annapolis, while Cap". Gieer is away on maneuvers.

Justice Henry Winston Holt, who spent the holidays in his home here, will return to Richmond shortly for the opening of the Supreme Court of Appeals. Capital Residents Visitors in Staunton.

Mr. and Mrs. Bjorm Egeli and their little son, of Washington, were guests over Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. William Wayt King, at the Kalorama. Mr. Egeli is the artist who painted the portrait of Mr. King for Mary Baldwin College and which hangs in the college parlor. Mr. Egeli. with j his family, is en route to Florida to , spend the winter.

Mrs. Joseph Kenneth Bradford of Rochester. N. Y., is visiting Mr. Brad- ford's parents. Dr. and Mrs. K. Brad- ford before returning North. Mrs. Bradford spent the Christmas season with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Parker, in Franklin, Va.

Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Alexander of Weyer’s Cave entertained a house party during last week which included Mr and Mrs. Fred Harrington and their two children. Midwinter Activities In Loudoun County

Loudoun's two newly elected dele- gates to the State Legislature. Senator Thomas B. Glascock of Upperville and Delegate Heyward C. Thompson of Hillsboro, left Monday with their families for Richmond for the open- ing of the General Assembly on Tues- day. Senator and Mrs. Glascock and their family will take an apartment and Delegate and Mrs. Thompson will be located temporarily at Murphy's Hotel. Mrs. Thompson plans to divide her time during the Assembly betwpen Richmond and Stonypoint, her country home at Hillsboro.

Miss Karle Bundy, county agent, who has been the guest of her parents in Tazewell, Va.. for several weeks, is attending the agents' conference at Blacksburg this week before return- ing to assume her duties in Loudoun.

The Rev. and Mrs. Henry B. Cole returned to their home in Hamilton January 4 from Norfolk, where they were guests of Mrs. Cole’s mother, Mrs. Wood, for several days.

Mrs. Roy Pancoast and her son, James White Pancost, have returned from a visit of several weeks with Mrs. Pancoast’s relatives in North Carolina.

Maverick to Speak At Democratic Club Representative Maury Maverick of

Texas will be the guest speaker at the Woman’s National Democratic Club at luncheon Monday. He will discuss "Our Neutrality Policy" and will be introduced by Mrs. Richard M. Kleburg, wife of Representative Kle- burg of Texas. Mr. Maverick, a mem- ber of the Military Affairs Committee of the House, has this session intro- duced into the House the neutrality bill which was sponsored in the Senate by Senator Nye and Senator Clark.

Miss Mary E. Bakewell will speak on "The Court and the Constitution," at the club Thursday morning. These meetings are devoted to a discussion of current affairs and are under the direction of Mrs. Edward Costigan.

Laurel, Md. Maj. Bentley was for- merly principal of the Charlotte Hall Military School at Charlotte

Hall, Md., before the school burned some years ago. The school has now

been completely rebuilt. About 30
