Helitraining Ukraine LLC (Kremenchuk, Poltava region)

is innovative research and manufacture company. Our activity is aimed at development of simulator systems and aircrafts training complexes for civil and military aviation, as well as at the introduction of modern forms and methods of helicopter Mi -17 flight personnel training in own, certified by aviation authorities of Ukraine, Simulator Training Center (Kremenchuk, Poltava region).

Company consists of the following departments: • Simulator Training Centre: includes helicopter simulators of qualification level

“Flight Training Device” (FTD): FTD Mi-8MTV-1 and FTD Mi-8AMT (Mi-171), interactive training classes for each of the above mentioned types of helicopters on the basis of own developed and manufactured electrified educational stands and computer based training system (CBTS);

• Design Bureau: develops and designs simulator hardware systems, interactive classrooms and other specialized equipment;

• Programming and Systems Engineering Department: develops modern software samples for simulators special software and CBTS, as well as forms programming architecture and computer equipment structure;


• Department for design and manufacture of instrument and other cockpit equipment simulators;

• Manufacture and technical department: manufactures simulators components, as well as performs the final assembly, commissioning and subsequent support of simulators produced with the assistance of other company departments;

• Department for the development and production of teaching aids and other means of education and training: develops and manufactures electrified educational stands, educational models of aircraft systems main units, produces up-to-date educational materials by means of modern printing equipment.

The company has all necessary: advanced computer equipment, specialized machines and devices, for the implementation of innovative design and technological tasks allowing to create modern samples of manufactured products.


The main features of our simulators are:• integration of special cockpit equipment into the helicopter Mi -17 simulator:

simulator of weather radar RDR-2000 (2100), GPS-receiver GNS-430 (530), indicators of instrument landing system KI-204 (207), terrain awareness and warning system Sandel 3400 HeliTAWS, Traffic alert and Collision Avoidance System (TCAS);

• three-stage (along the axes X, Y, Z and the dynamic amplitude range from 50 Hz to 3 kHz) system of vibration and the accelerometer impact on the cockpit that simulates background vibration from the helicopter primary systems and engines, as well as vibration effect on the helicopter fuselage during helicopter flight in the transient modes with simulated dynamic effects of landing gear touching the landing surface, in the parameters of the operating limitations;

• option of visual night flight on FTD Mi-8AMT (MI-171) using night vision goggles type PNL-3 BIELIK (production Poland, NATO standard);

• option to perform sling load operations training for crews of helicopters Mi-8AMT (MI-171) and Mi-8 MTV with separate external environment visualization system for sling load operator;

• training of two crews, of Mi-8 MTV and Mi-171, actions in a joint virtual flight in a single external environment, conducting two-way radio communication and joint piloting maneuvering.

The company has already successfully implemented research and development projects on the creation of Flight Training Devices (FTD) of the third level qualification - Mi-8AMT (171), Mi-8 MTV-1 and reconfigurable (reversible) FTD Mi-8MSB/Mi -8T.Due the collaborative work of programmers and flight instructors of the company, advanced samples of software for FTDs and computer based training systems (CBTSs) were developed and introduced.The company also has certificate issued by the Ministry of Transport of Ukraine № UA / TRTO-013/2014, allowing to train flight and maintenance personnel in accordance with the standards and requirements of the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine, as well as ICAO and EASA recommendations.Today, within Helitraining Ukraine LLC development program, following research and development projects have been initiated:• development of FTD of light transport aircraft АN-32Т without motion system;• development of FTD of helicopter Мi-8MSB-V with option of night vision

goggles;• development of FTD of helicopters Ka-32А11VS and Мi-2MSB.All helicopter simulators will be equipped with vibration and accelerometer impact on the cockpit systems.


The result of collaborative efforts of design engineers and programmers of our company is additional option for helicopters operators – the adaptation of helicopter Mi-171 simulator under implementation of night vision goggles (NVG). The cockpit devices, photoconductive cells and panels have gained special green illumination. External environment visualization software was updated to adapt a flight region night scene under adequate perception through night vision goggles. NVG PNL-3 BIELIK (produced in the Republic of Poland, the NATO standard) in complete with helmet THL-5NV are applied in the above mentioned option realization.

Helitraining Ukraine LLC together with Ukrainian Helicopters PJSC has successfully implemented training program for crews on flights with NVG in UN peacekeeping operations.


Simulator Training CenterHELITRAINING UKRAINE is a multifunctional training center providing various kinds of services connected with aviation specialists training in compliance with the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine requirements and the demands of our customers. All necessary conditions are created to provide effective training, recurrent training, refresher training and simulator training of flight and maintenance personnel of helicopter operators.

There are two helicopter simulators: FTD Mi-8 MTV and FTD Mi-171 (Class FTD-3, according to JAR FSTD H) in the company simulator training center. Both of them have options of visual night flight with night vision goggles type PNL-3 BIELIK (production of the Republic of Poland) and sling load operation training.

Implementation of modern teaching methods, training programs, as well as software and hardware samples allows to improve training process for flight crews to the level of line oriented flight training (LOFT).

Indeed, modern technologies of aircraft flight simulation, allow to create simulation systems, making it possible to train on the ground up to 90% of exercises required for crews training for actions related to piloting, navigation and use of special equipment installed on board aircraft under normal and emergency operation.


Theoretical training is carried out by experienced teachers and instructors on the basis of modern methods of training, refresher training and recurrent training of flight and maintenance personnel in interactive classrooms, equipped with specialized electrified stands and computer equipment.

Training stands are designed to study construction and functioning of the helicopter systems, as well as to develop skills for these systems operation both in standard situations and in case of malfunctioning and failures in the process of preparation for the flight and in-flight, in accordance with the Flight and Maintenance Manual. Training stands allow to trace the helicopter units interaction, as well as to determine the significance of a particular unit and to assess its impact on the system as a whole.

Flight crews have ground training just before simulator training. They have an opportunity to refresh their knowledge of all the necessary fields by means of CBTS.

Innovative software product of joint intellectual activity of our simulator training center flight instructors, customers’ flight and maintenance personnel, as well as teachers and instructors of Kremenchuk Flight College of national Aviation University is the computer based training system (CBTS), which combines technical, educational and methodical, as well as organizational support of training process based on modern 3D technology.CBTS allows the user to gain effective training individually or in a group and to perform, in a test mode, knowledge control in the following fields:• helicopter performance data and inflight limitations, according to the “Aircraft Flight and

Maintenance Manual”• crew actions in severe and emergency situations;• general helicopter structure and structure of separate systems and components, type of

helicopter design characteristics;• design, basic technical characteristics and rules of operation for additional equipment

installed in the helicopter;• meteorology;• helicopter aerodynamics.CBTS is designed for both individual (with remote access) and for integrated use in the classroom. The program is easy to install, easy to learn and use.Computer based training system has its own name “Computer program “Computer Based Training System. Helicopter Mi-8, Mi-8MTV and Mi-171 (Mi-8AMT)” registered with the State Intellectual Property Service of Ukraine in 2014 with the respective Certificate

Helitraining Ukraine LLC has successfully implemented the Quality Management System (QMS) and has been certified for compliance with the international standards ISO 9001: 2008 and NATO AQAP 2110.

The procedure the QMS implementation includes the design and optimization of organizational and technological processes, documenting and updating of evaluating procedures, development of regulations defining the company departments activity.

The main aspects of certification for compliance with the international standards ISO 9001: 2008 and NATO AQAP 2110 were the key activities of Helitraining Ukraine: training, recurrent training and refresher training of aviation personnel, development and manufacture of simulator systems and training facilities, supply of aviation equipment.

Certificate of Conformity QMS is the evidence of company reliability in long-term cooperation, as well as a necessary condition for the promotion of manufactured products in the world market.

07.11.2014, the company Helitraining Ukraine got Certificate issued by the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine № UA / TRTO-013/2014, upon finding that its organization complies in all respect with Ukrainian National TRTO Certification Regulations and is empowered to operate an approved Type Rating Organization (TRTO).

Company has Synthetic Training Device Qualification Certificate № UA/FSTD-032/2013(H) issued by the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine certifying that FTD Mi-8AMT (Mi-171), installed in Simulator training center Helitraining Ukraine, corresponds all regulations and meets Qualification requirements in accordance with the Flight Simulator Certification Regulation of Ukraine.

Flight training device simulator of helicopter Mi-8MTV has also successfully passed the procedure of qualification tests and received confirmation of the claimed level FTD2 with the subsequent issuance of the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine Certificate № UA / FSTD-033/2014 (H)

State Intellectual Property Service of Ukraine issued Certificate of registration of copyright for “Computer program “Computer Based Training System. Mi-8, Mi-8MTV and Mi-171 (Mi-8AMT)”” № 54684 in 2014

All the above mentioned certificates are validated by the Aviation Administrations of Republic of Moldova, Republic of Peru and other countries.
