What is it that you enjoy about going to gigs or the cinema in comparison to watching or listening to music or films at home?

“I love the atmosphere, being in a place with like-minded people. Viewing and exploring the different forms of art and understanding other people's views.”

“The atmosphere combined with the social aspect.”

“Gigs/concerts it is about the atmosphere.

At the cinema, it is the social

factor & for the special effects.”

“I prefer music at home because its cheaper and the

artists I listen too rarely come too England, films are more

exciting at the cinema though they are way too expensive.”

“It's the experience and the buzz you get that's not the same when you’re not with your friends.”

A break from the norm, more enjoyable with other people.”

Do you think that cultural organisations communicate with young people effectively and is there anything you think would make you engage with them more digitally?

“Yes

“Free concerts or events as a taster to show people what they’re missing”

“It could be interesting if cultural organisations had a Skype account and offered sessions where young people could interact with individuals who work for these organisations.”

“Perhaps small time competitions on Twitter.”

“I don't mind trying to find events, makes it more

exclusive. I don't see why young people should be force fed experiences.”
