HOW DO WE WORK?
We live and work in Nova Scotia, but our clients are all over the world. To enable solid working relationships, we augment the usual channels of communication with Skype, online meeting tools, and travel when needed. To make us more flexible in our work, and keep overheads down, we use a lot of open source software.

Sometimes people say to us, "it looks like you just have fun all day!" Well, that's because it's true. We are doing what we love: working on relevant and interesting problems in geology and geophysics, creating original content for our website and
wiki, and building really useful tools for interpreters. We love what we do.
Geoscience consultingis our thing. We offer deep experience in oil sands and shale gas exploration. We love 3D volume interpretation and reservoir characterization, and can get as quantitaive as you want. We are data driven.

Matt Hall, PGEOL, PGEOPH, has a PhD in sedimentology from the University of Manchester, UK, and 15 years’ experience in the industry. He has worked for Landmark as a volume interpretation specialist, Statoil as an explorationist, and ConocoPhillips as a geophysical advisor. Matt has a wide range of interests in sedimentology, seismology, and knowledge sharing.
Evan Bianco has an MSc in geophysics from the University of Alberta, Canada, and three years’ experience as an industry consultant in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Evan’s interests also span a range of disciplines, from time-lapse seismic in oil sands to integrated interpretation and geomodelling, especially in unconventional reservoirs. Evan cares deeply about data.
