e Helping Hands of 2012 - Pan American Health Service Children’s Home and Nutrition Center Peña Blanca, Honduras Loma Linda University – SIMS (Students in International Misssion Service) Lead by Emmely Rosspencer and Dr. omas Wieg e Loma Linda University SIMS, with Dr. Tom Wieg, hosted Dental Health clinics for the communities in our area. Other members of the group used their professional talents to benefit our children. December 26, 2011 to January 2, 2012 Mercy in Motion Lead by Pastor Paul and Kay Newby is husband and wife team, with a heart for missions, united friends and family to visit our campus and share their technical expertise and warm embraces in the Casita Feliz. ey also made improvements in our Guest House and main Laundry. January 23 – 29, 2012 R.O.O.M. Reach Out Orphanage Ministries Lead by Tara and Jorge Garcia Working with a donation from Tom’s shoes, Tara and Jorge Garcia, came to our campus to fit each one of our children and teens with black shoes that they can wear for the new school year. ank you Tara and Jorge and Tom’s shoes. January 29, 2012 Creative Media Team Lead by Meranda Beerma Meranda Beerman, a volunteer of several years ago, raised funds to pay for a promo- tional video that is being made to help spread the word about the PAHS work in Honduras. She and producer, Bryan Fellows, visited our campus to conduct interviews and capture on video life on the PAHS campus. February 7-10, 2012 Mend a Child Mission Trip Lead by Dr. omas Wieg A group made up of members of the Oakhurst and Chico Seventh-Day Adventist Churches in California came to our campus to spend time with our children and to make improvements. Among other things they made a wheelchair ramp so that Jenny could get into her Home without assistance – see our letter about Jenny. We rejoice to see a long dormant project awake and take shape once again, an answer to prayer!
