Personalise your fundraising page. Research shows that you are likely to increase the amount you raise by 150% if you personalise your profile on your page. Use your inspiration to inspire others – whether that be a connection to autism

or the drive to challenge yourself, these reasons are why your family and friends want to support you, so let them know about it! Include photos or even video as you work towards your goals.

Think of 10 people you could email. Email has proven to be a very effective way of helping fundraisers reach their targets. Think of just 10 people that you could get in touch with to ask for their support. It is important that your email is personalised and from the heart. If you do receive donations from those you email, make sure to thank them!

Update your Facebook cover photo and/or your profile pic with our Big Birthday Bake club pics! That way all your friends will be able to see that you are taking part. Then share your URL as a status to encourage people to donate to your page.

Get your workplace involved. Perhaps your employer does matched giving which is an easy way to double the amount you raise! Or if your workplace doesn’t match giving, you could hold a fundraiser. It could be as simple as a dress down or a crazy shirt day for a gold coin donation.

Create a short video. Communicating to people via video is an engaging and exciting way to spreadword of your cause. Try to keep it short, to the point and interesting. Make it funny or serious, either wayinclude what inspires you, what your goal is and your journey to reach it. Then start sharing it! Don’tforget to tag us so we can support you too. #BigBakeClub

As you start getting close or perhaps even surpassing your fundraising target – firstly congratulateyourself on a job well done! But then, why not increase that target slightly and do a blast asking people to help you beat it.

Ask your family and friends to start change pots at home. They can collect their spare change over the course of your fundraising and donate it to your page at the end. Those coins can often add up! Perhaps you could even decorate a jar for them!

Are you planning on eating out? Instead of paying for dinner at a restaurant, why not offer to cook for your family or friends and have them donate what they would have spent on dinner to your page.

How to make your bake count...
