Writing task: This week’s task is to write a character description.

Here is an example of oneDink

Deep inside the darkest cave lived a hideous creature known as Dink. Covered from head to toe in gross white pimples and crusty mud soaked skin, you can smell Dink before you can EVEN see him. On the very top of his head lives a family of lice that play all day in his bright green, unwashed hair. His enormous muscles escape from his tiny clothes which are soaked in sweat. Not only is Dink disgusting he also has a terrible attitude.

Your task is to write a character description about this character

Success criteria

Have you described where he lives?

Have you described what he looks like?

Weekly Mindfulness activity: This week’s mindfulness activity is simple but one that we know you all love in school – mindfulness colouring! Spend some time this week with some peaceful music on (you can find some on YouTube) and simply colour. It really helps you to relax and feel calm.

You can use this colouring picture or get your own from the internet.

If you would like to, you can tweet us a picture of your colouring.

Whole school task:

This half term our whole school theme is keeping fit! This week’s task is called ‘put a sock in it’

Put a sock in it!

Your parents might like this game! For the first part of the game, I want you to time how quickly you can sort - and put into pairs - socks ready to go into your sock draw. It is better to start off with a set number of pairs (10). Challenge your parents or/and your siblings to see if they can beat your time!

Once you have finished this part of the game, it is now time for the ‘sock throw game’. Place a basket into the middle of the room and see how many of your pairs of socks you can get into the basket. Each pair is worth 2 points. Who is the sock master in your house?

We can’t wait to see your photos and videos of this challenge on twitter
