2. Keep R at the fork.

3. Turn L for Lastingham.

8. Bear right and down a steep hill.

9. At bottom of hill turn L to return to Hutton le Hole.

5. Turn R for Appleton, across a narrow bridge.

4. Follow road through the village signposted towards Cropton

1. Take the Lastingham road out of the village

6. At the T-junction, turn L to visit Appleton le Moors, or turn R to continue along route (signposted Lastingham, Hutton le Hole) for Spaunton.

7. Keep L for Spaunton.
