It is a honour for me to be with you and to live this moment. 

Although I must say that Eriksson and Lindstrom are responsible for my long sleepless nights, because some days I make classes with my students to understand the relationship between Salutogenesisand Health Promotion.

The accuracy and precision with which both researchers reviewed the evidence is serving us to have a conceptual framework that explains the twenty‐first century public health. 

I am a regular reader of their work, and I confess that my approach to the Health Promotion for children has improved in reasoning, clarity and ownership of a benchmarking framework. 

Workers in the health promotion and youth can now discuss their thoughts more clearly, from the reviews and original contributions of Eriksson and Lindstrom. 

I discovered the work of Antonovsky in 1990 (almost 40 years after their initial research on SOC) ; “The river of life”led me to Eriksson and Lindstrom. 

“The river of life” again, led me to Antony Morgan in 1994. And also to the network of Professor Palacios and Professor Moreno. They've given me a lot of assets for learning. 

Morgan and Ziglio in 2007 have provided an excellent analysis to revitalize health promotion through the Asset Model in addition to the Deficit Model. 

The Ericsson and Lindstrom team has turned the paradigm of health promotion to a new and deeper location. They have turned the idea of "making healthy choices easier" into a rigorous and comprehensive construction linked to human endurance, understanding, management, and the meaning of life events. 

Today it is not possible to promote health from a unique perspective of knowledge. To reveal the mystery of health, we are required to relate: the psychology of learning and developmental psychology, mental health, medicine and biology, science education, social science and spirituality. 

Thanks for making easier for us to understand and develop the theory and practice of Salutogenesis and its relation with Health Promotion. 

And thanks for coming to Andalusia to show new ways to help us to refocus our policies, plans, programs, actions and interventions; with the support of Salutogenesis and assets.
