2015 has flown by so quickly that we still can’t believe that 2016 is here!

This year has had so many positive changes, energy, and collaboration is the new community word this year. With a new year means that we have some of our Board of Directors who have finished their term and new ones coming on! We are so thankful for our amazing star volunteers we call our Board of Directors for the chamber. They serve for a minimum of 3 years and faithfully volunteer all year long. We want to say a special Thank You to our outgoing board: Jason Corey of Dick, Dick & Corey, LLP, and Bev Eagy. Both of you are appreciated so much for your ideas, energy,

support, laughter, and your giving hearts. We couldn’t have been who we are without each one of you. Thank You!!! We are welcoming 2 new faces to our Board of Directors this year. We are excited to see what 2016 has in store and we are ready to take our Chamber to another level of excellence for our community! January will begin this new adventure for Sherry DuFault and Lisa Rundell. We are excited to see what the chamber can do for The Dalles and the surrounding communities as a Chamber that truly Means Business for all of our businesses and organizations. We can’t wait to see what lies ahead, hope you will come and join us for the excitement and the movement of forward thinking and collaboration taking place in The Dalles!

As we searched for a local company to honor for the irst month in 2016, we came across one business that has been recognized by multiple people within the community for going above and beyond the call of duty for those in need.We were amazed at the generosity of this company and have been on the receiving end of it as well. Every year we are blessed to have our community Christmas tree and Chamber building decorated out of the kindness of their heart.

Luciano Tree Service, we thank you for your continued support of the community and outstanding humanitarian work that goes on behind the scenes. You guys are an amazing asset to have in our community!
