2) HOMEWORK POLICIES The school has a homework policy guiding the giving of homework by teachers. Teachers have been reminded to give homework that is appropriate and meaningful. Use of e‐learning platforms (Math portal, iMTL portal etc.) are encouraged. Our teachers are also reminded not to give excessive homework, hence, your child should not be given stacks of worksheets to complete, with instructions to complete them, at one sitting. All homework given will be marked / graded by the teachers. All classrooms are equipped with a Homework Board, which is used to regulate the rigour of homework assigned by the different subject teachers and also to track submission dates. Please remind your child that the homework details should be copied into the Student Diary every day. 3) AFTER SCHOOL CURRICULUM You would notice from the school calendar (available on the school website) that a range of programmes and activities have been planned to cater to the holistic development of your child. problem solving steps to resolve issues.

How to Raise A Resilient Child by Ms. Chio Yee Ming Saturday, 3 March 2018, Saturday – 9am to 12 noon Synopsis:
Resiliency is the ability to persevere and adjust when faced with adversity. Resilient children do better in school,
have more positive social experiences and achieve high levels of personal and professional success. Children who
are naturally resilient, or are taught to be resilient, are strong and confident, unfazed in times of crisis and
setbacks.
The question is, can resilience be learnt? The good news, according to research is, yes! Resilience can be broken down into a set of specific abilities, and those abilities can be learned and applied over time. Parental modeling, parenting style and a child's belief system and self‐esteem are some areas that parents can work on to build strong and resilient children.
