Required Courses Basic Electronics and TroubleshootingStudentswilllearnthefundamentalsofelectroniccomponents,circuitsandtesting.Emphasiswillbeoncomponentandcircuitoperations,analysisanddocumentation.Areasofstudyinclude:fundamentalsofelectricity,electronicconfiguration,passiveandactivecomponents,analysisofpassivecircuits,frequencyandtimemeasurements,hands-ontrainingwithD.C.Powersupplies,DMM,functiongeneratorandoscilloscope.

Intermediate Electronics and TroubleshootingThisisanintensivetrainingdesignedtobuildontheskillslearnedintheBasicElectronicsandTroubleshootingclass.Emphasiswillbeonunderstandingandbroadeningtheuseofequipment(DMM,FunctionGenerators,Benchtoppowersupplies,Oscilloscopes)totroubleshoot,testandaligncircuitsandequipment.

Lead Free Hands On Soldering Training and AssemblyThiscourseisdesignedtoprovidebasicknowledgeneededforentry-levelopportunitiesintheelectronicsmanufacturingindustryincludingnewhiretraining.Thiscourseprovidesanintroductiontobasicelectronicassemblyincludingmechanicalassembly,safety&ESD,componentidentification,commonindustrytermsanddefinitionsandbasichandsolderingskillsdevelopment.Courseis40percentlecture,60percenthands-onlabexercisesusingindustrystandardtoolsandmaterials.Asolderingkitwillbecompletedinclass.

Network FundamentalsThiscourseisdesignedtohelpyouperformacompletenetworkinstallationaswellasunderstandcommontroubleshootingandmaintenancetechniques.Learnthenecessaryinformationfornetworkingtechnologies,installationandcommonnetworkproblemareas.Topicsalsoincludemediaaccesscontrolmethods,topologies,cabling,ethernet,TokenRing,ARCnet,TCP/IPprotocol,basicnetworksoftwarearchitecture,servers/protocoldrivers,hardwaredrivers,andcomputingmodels.
