In existing laboratory space, we have furnished a modern laboratory (20 ft*12 ft) for setting up a GEM laboratory under clean condition atmosphere.

With the financial assistance from DST, New Delhi under FAIR project, construction (mostly civil) is underway and in one year period, BHU will have a new research laboratory (30 ft * 20 ft area) for CBM experiment.

Procurement of Vacuum Chamber and Gas purifying

system

We are in the process to procure a vacuum chamber where a single GEM/THGEM or a cascade of GEM/THGEM can be placed and tested.

Also a gas purifying system is going to be procured for GEM test.
