We have new pullers for the FW season the name is : bi collard camlock. In the DEEP it is always this zipper. It is a technical puller because of the spring inside.

Programs are build from bomber (short jacket) mid length jacket to a long parka like jacket.

3d neoprene logo > the logo has changed since the SS16 collection. The logo is more 3d and made from neoprene. Also the logo is more tonal. Badge can not be dry cleaned.

Badge is black for ocean , technical approach transfer label glued on the jacket. Hangtag is 3d mesh

The Black collection is sold with the earphones.

The Bernard is lined with micro polar fleece making it both nice and light to wear and perfect for layering. Inspired by the sportman’s sailor jacket this style sits slim on the body, but moves with the wearer. Teflon coated nylon on the out-side makes for added waterproof protection.

BERNARD

ICON FITS The Bernard is the slim fit Sailor and the Eric is the regular fit sailor. In the winter edition you can find polar fleece on the inside. They are easy to recognize, the Bernard is always lined with a blue collared polar fleece lining and the Eric with a grey mélange one.On the hangtags you can find the additional info about the fabric and the conditions. The Dennis is the same jacket as the Bernard with the addition of the hood.

Nylon fiber from the 70’s, It is used in all the Sailor jack-ets.It is iconic for the small hairs on top of the fiber which gives it a soft cotton hand feel, matt finish and fast dry.The fabric is treated with Teflon on the rolls which makes the jacket splash proof but after 20 washings it decreases.

The supreme Christopher is for the man who needs room to move while staying warm and dry. A vest made with care, each panel is sewn and filled or ‘injected’ with duck down feathers for a more even insulation to the body. With lycra bonding appearing on the shoulders and hemline, this vest allows for movement of the extreme kind.

CHRISTOPHER

NORTH SUPER LIGHTWhen you create a down jacket the clusters of down and the quilting are important for the warmth of the person. The more down the more warmth.Think of mountain climbers and the thick down jackets they are wearing sometimes to keep warm.

In our jackets we use : White duck down 90 |10 %20 denier nylon (yarn used for weaving) 40/42 gram which is very dense and compact. the external fabric had a down prove treatment which made a possible to use direct injection of he feathers.

AMERY

NYLON WINDNylon with back coating this milky coating makes it water repellent and windproof.The Milky coating is named like this simply because of the milk color it has. The lining is polyester padding in horizontal quilting. There is a draw cord regulator in the bottom and hood and elastic binding cuffs. The jacket has a big kangaroo pocket / pouch pocket in the front.

In the days of old world sailing, the authentic pea coat was a must. Its double breasted front added a military feel while the heavy wool finish protected from the wind. The Thomas, with twill fabric at the pocket and yoke, and canvas finish on the inside, fuses the traditional sailor style with modern day features.

THOMAS

CABAN

The Caban is an old Breton garment used by the local fishermen there for centuries as a work jacket. It was orig-inally white (‚kap gwenn‘ means in Breton ‚white cloth‘), but changed over to blue in the early 19th century. In this color it was adopted by the fleets and merchant ships of various European countries, and came to be the ‚ultimate‘ piece of sailors‘ clothing. Material and Cut.

Our Caban is made out of 60% wool and 40% polyester. The straight-cut jacket has a collar with lapels and a dou-ble row of three matt-finished anchor buttons. With two side pockets; this jacket is unlined and finished with twill binding what makes this piece is fall comfortable around the body.

LASERCUTParticular benefits when working with the laser on textiles are its speed, flexibility and precision. Moreover, the nesting feature included in the laser software ensures economical use of the fabrics. Laser cutting is a contact-less and tool-free process. There is no contact and consequently no warping of textiles and fabrics during laser cutting. The laser beam melts the material and the result is clean, perfectly sealed edges. It is guaranteed that there will be no fraying of the end products.Synthetic materials respond very well to laser cutting. They very often contain plastic or polyester. The laser beam melts the polyester in a controlled manner, which ensures non-fraying edges. When cutting organic textiles, such as cot-ton or linen, with the laser, the produced cutting edge will show some brown discoloration, similarly to wood. To some degree, this effect can be compensated for by selecting the correct lens and laser parameters, and by the use of compressed air.

SUPER 3 LAYER FABRICLight polyester 3 layer the fabric is build in such a way that is Breathable and waterproof and windproof. It is done by building the fabric in three layers. First the polyester external fabric then the membrane in between and the mesh at the backside for breathability. The seams are taped at the crucial points like the yoke shoulder armhole and back yoke, to improve the water-proofness and the zippers are water-repellent finished with deco tape.

Wheter you client wants to go sailing or wear their jacket in more urban settings you need to know how to see a jacket is waterproof/ repellent and what kind of conditions it can handle and why.When we speak of outerwear and conditions we speak in terms of columns. Underneath you can find a overview of the pressure jackets can resist. The water column value tells us, how much the jacket is waterproof or rainproof. In other words, how much water can it withstand before the water pene-trates the jacket. Higher values therefore logically mean more protection during wet weather.

What do the rating numbers actually mean?Manufacturers typically describe the waterproof breathability of fabrics using two numbers. The first is in millimeters (mm) and is a measure of how water-proof a fabric is. In the case of a 10k or 10,000 mm fabric, if you put a square tube with inner dimensions of 1” x 1” over a piece of said fabric, you could fill it with water to a height of 10,000 mm (32.8 feet) before water would begin to leak through. The higher the number, the more waterproof the fabric. The second number is a measure of how breathable the fabric is, and is normally expressed in terms of how many grams (g) of water vapor can pass through a square meter (m2) of the fabric from the inside to the outside in a 24 hour period. In the case of a 20k (20,000 g) fabric, this would be 20,000 grams. The larger the number, the more breathable the fabric.

Why isn’t outerwear completely waterproof?The truth is that all outerwear designed for active waer has various degrees of water resistance, but will eventually leak given enough water, time and pres-sure. Manufacturers define “waterproof” according to different standards, and testing is not standardized. A rubber raincoat is completely waterproof, and may be the ideal garment for standing in a downpour waiting for the bus, but if you tried to ski or snowboard in it, you’d be wet in no time from your own perspiration. The trick is to balance protection from rain and snow on the outside with the ability to let water vapor (warm perspiration) escape from the inside.

COTTON 3 LAYER FAKE ANORAKThe construction for this jacket is laser cut and glued. There is detachable hood glued vizier with very high storm collar, it can be regulated with the draw cord. Inside there is a media pocket with a reversed coil zipper It comes with a detachable vest. The vest is 20 den Nylon with waterproof zipper and elastic binding with round pocket open-ing. It is hanged with a pushbutton. The lining is a silver bubble quilting to keep very warm.Power mesh pocket lining.

AUSTER

BONDED COTTONBonded cotton is a fabric, which are two layers of 100% cotton glued on top of each other. Because of the glue the fabric is very stiff. The jacket is unlined but seam taped as decor. The jacket has a waxy cotton finish and is a very compact weave structure. The jacket can only be dry-cleaned.

TECHDOWNThe Techdown is a 20 den Nylon with a graphite coating on the back of the outer fabric. (The coating is a antra color. It keeps the body extra warm and works as a thermo regulator.)It is a four-layer construction. The external fabric, the graphite coating, a down back, the lining. The jacket is filled with WDD 90/10 %Elastic binding wind stopper, pockets with power mesh lining. The contrast fabric on the shoulder = super 3 layer also our iconic hood. the crucial point in this jacket are seam taped. The double hoods extra features are the Tyvek silver coating + draw cord regulator laser cut buttonhole with and deco tape Inside you find a media pocket with reversed coil zipper.

STRECH NYLON This is a light 3 layer construction, it is a nylon, woven with a little bit of elastan. Which gives it more movability and comfort. The Fabric is down proof. We were looking for a different way of showing the down jacket. This is the reason the quilted lining is placed on the inside. There are elastic binding wind stoppers and water-repellent zippers, the inner flap with black neoprene to stop more wind. Inside a power mesh media pocket and filled with wdd 90/10 600 fp ( see down label)more fitted, more comfort/ second skin.

OCEAN SOFT SHELLThis shoftshell is fbricated in a different way. The external fabric is a polyester weaving and the backing is a polyester jersey. The features are therefor very different then the shoftshell fab-rics we have talkes about earlier.
