In addition to overseeing maintenance, operations, and public programming for the park, Friends of the High Line works to raise the essential private funds to support more than 90 percent of the park’s annual operating budget, and to advocate for the transformation of the High Line at the Rail Yards, the third and northernmost section of the historic structure, which runs between West 30th and West 34th Streets. HIGH LINE MEMBERSHIP Friends of the High Line is the non-profit conservancy responsible for maintaining an extraordinary public space on the High Line. Membership is a vital source of general support for the High Line. With help from members, we are able to offer a wide range of free, innovative programs for visitors of all ages and interests. Additionally, membership helps Friends of the High Line provide virtually all of the park’s operating budget each year, allowing us to hire staff who keep the park welcoming and the plantings vibrant.
