Optimum licker-in configuration options

With selective trash extraction, both raw material utiliza-tion and the quality expectations of the end product can be optimized. Depending on the targeted waste percent-ages and the price of cotton, the potential for savings is significant.

The licker-in knife can be quickly adjusted electronically during production, ensuring optimum raw material utilization and more flexible adjustment to different raw materials. The C 80 offers the best configuration options for every application.

The precision of the carding gap across the entire work-ing width is key for achieving the ideal carding result. Depending on the production and the raw material being processed, it is possible to precisely set the carding gap to within one hundredth of a millimeter via the central adjust-ment. The precise guiding of the flats, tight tolerances and material combination of cast-iron plate and cast-iron drum all ensure that the carding gap remains precisely at the specified settings, even during operation.

quality of the card sliver. With 40 active flats and a 1.5-m working width, the C 80 has the largest active carding area, enabling the machine to produce extraordinarily high sliver quality.

A precise, flexible bend for flats guides the fibers effectively to the flats area and ensures gentle carding without shortening the fibers. The cylinder circumference is optimized to its maximum technological potential. IGS-classic, the integrated clothing grinding system for permanently sharp cylinder clothing, and IGS-top, for equally useful card flat clothing, increase the service life of clothing by 20%. As a result, the quality of the card sliver is consistently at a high level.

The C 80 has a 25% larger active carding area com-pared to the previous model, as well as optimized pre- and post-carding areas that can be individually equipped. The loss of good fibers is reduced while delivering the same level of quality. When the pro-duction output of the C 80 is compared with other cards available of the market, the yarn quality of the C 80 is 10% higher.
