The Inventors of the Snow Plough

In 1926 Meyer Products began building snowploughs on a farm in Newburgh, New

York, USA. It was then and there Meyer became the innovator, pioneer and leader

in manufacturing highly reliable snow and ice control equipment. Throughout our

88 years in business Meyer has been fully committed to fulfilling our customer’s

In 2010 Kersten UK began importing and fitting our range of snow ploughs and

A Broadcast Spreader For All Seasons

For a heavy-duty broadcast spreader

built for all-season use, look to the

Meyer Hotshot. Meyer Hotshots are

compact, easy to manoeuvre and built

to handle the extreme conditions of year

-round use.

Hotshots are designed to apply a variety

of materials including top-dress sand,

rock salt and ice melt on snow and ice,

as well as limestone and fertilizer.

Maximum spread range is from 3.6-

5.4metres, depending on the model.

The Meyer BL 240, and BL 400 are easy to use and ideal for many small to medium sized jobs from

walkways to small car parks and driveways. They are suitable for mounting to SUV’s, light trucks,

utility vehicles and plant and tractors.

12v electric powered spreaders, ideal for spreading dry, free flowing material.

The large Corrosion resistant polymer hopper gives you the productivity to handle several jobs

with one load.

Controllable from inside the cab for driver convenience.

Spread width may be varied using the controller and a manual Flow Gate ensures precise

flow rate (optional).

Self diagnosing controller

The unique chain agitator

helps break up material and

provide excellent flow when

spreading damp material.

The Meyer Blaster Spreaders have the most powerful tailgate spreader motor available.

One touch operation provides you total control over Blaster spreaders.

Unique ½hp, direct drive motor is rated at up to 70amps to grind through those annoying chunks

of salt and sand. The direct drive system applies the torque directly to the rotor.

Damp material agitator creates a void in the hopper to prevent bridging and feeds the loose

material to the pinned rotor which further grinds the material before dropping on to the spinner

disk. The standard vibrator further helps to ensure free flowing material in the worst conditions.

Flow Gate control allows the operator to gauge exactly how much material is delivered on to the

spinner disk.

Illuminated in-cab controller includes “blast” and vibrate mode. You can also regulate the spinner

speed with the variable speed controller. Selecting Auto Spinner Stop Mode will automatically stop

the spinner from rotating when the vehicle’s brakes are applied.

Auto Vibrate Mode automatically vibrates the spreader for ten seconds every sixty seconds to

keep the load ready to spread. The system is protected by self diagnosis and blade fuses to

prevent damage caused by clogging. All backed by the industry’s best warranty.

Pre-wetting the material speeds up

the melting process and reduces

Designed to Protect Your Truck

Everything about the Crossfire has

been designed to protect your investment. The

full-width hopper reduces material spillage into

the vehicle bed to help prevent corrosion. The

hopper and spinner assembly is constructed

from polyethylene to eliminate rust. All

mechanical drives are concealed from the

elements to keep salt and moisture out and

increase service life.

DLX Controller

All Crossfire controllers include independent

motor control for the auger and spinner, blast

and spinner speed adjustment. Additional

features of the DLX controller include pre-wet,

pause, work light, vibrator and ground speed

control.

The Polyhawk is designed to be your snow and

ice removal spreader not only for this season,

but for many to come. Featuring an

unprecedented ten-year warranty on the

virtually indestructible polyethylene insert

hopper, Meyer dares you to compare the

features of the Polyhawk to any other poly

hopper spreader on the market.

The Meyer PolyHawk is an in body or trailer

mounted spreader. It features a high tensile

chain conveyor system which delivers a wide

variety of materials to the rear spinner disc. A

total of 6 adjustable baffles ensure you can

deliver the exact amount of material precisely

where you want it. The complete system is

almost silent being powered from two

independently controlled 12v electric motors.

Standard features include a top screen (see

picture below) to break up large clumps of

material, belt shields, and the Meyer inverted V

to prevent bridging. A swing up spinner (see

picture right) provides easy storage, aids

emptying and allows filling of salt bins.

The unique Quick-Attach50

mounting system features a

robust bracket that attaches

to the chassis at the front of

the vehicle (see left) using

existing mounting points. The

bracket is usually located

elegantly under and rear of the

front bumper with the female

socket sealed with a durable/

removable plastic cover.

This mounting may also be

used in conjunction with the

front 50mm ball hitch

assembly for manoeuvring

trailers in restricted areas and

mounting a front Quick-Attach

winch.

Receiver hitch fits unobtrusively beneath the front bumper.

The plough mounting system features a

robust bracket that attaches to the chassis

at the front of the vehicle using existing

mounting points.

The bracket is usually located elegantly

under and rear of the front bumper (see left)

with the female socket sealed with a

durable/removable plastic cover when the

plough is not in use.

This front mounting may also be used in

conjunction with the front 50mm ball hitch

assembly for accurately manoeuvring trailers

in restricted areas and mounting a front

quick-attach winch.

It can also be used for front mounting a

Meyer spreader and many other

applications.

Meyer Products' second generation Super-V multi-position plough, the Super-V2, offers aggressive

styling and incredible ploughing performance. This ’V’ plough has a 70-degree attack angle and a

tapered steel blade. The Super-V2 provides excellent snow rolling and throwing action similar to

that of a highway plough.

When you want the convenience of a "V" blade, scoop blade or straight blade, you want Meyer

Super-V2 v ploughs. Our exclusive one-button controller lets you put the plough in just about any

configuration. The dual acting cylinders lock the blade so you can scoop, plough and back drag

snow in any blade position.

Trip-Edge Design

Unlike competitive models, all Super-Vs have trip-edge mouldboards. This means that no matter

how the mouldboards are configured, only the lower portion of the blades give way so the entire

load is not lost. Not only does the trip-edge make ploughing more efficient, it also absorbs and

dissipates the shock caused by obstructions saving wear and tear on the driver, truck and snow

plough.
