Performance-Based Exit Option (formerly GED Exit Option)
O Must be at least 16 years of age and enrolled in traditional high school courses
O Must be overage for their grade, behind in classes and have a low GPA
O Must be in jeopardy for not graduating on time with the class they entered high school with
O Must be performing at a 7th grade level or higher at the time of entry into the program
O Must be performing at a 9th grade level of higher at the time of GED testing

Special Diploma
Option 1 Option 2O Student must earn the
number of course credits specified by local school board by taking either ESE classes and/or basic education or career education classes based on the Next Generation Sunshine State Standards
O Student must have employment for at least 1 semester at or above minimum wage in community-based job
O Must reach achievement of annual goals and short-term objectives or benchmarks on the IEP related to employment and community competencies
O Have a mastery of a set of employment and community competencies in his/her graduation plan
O Student must meet district school board graduation requirements
Special Certificate of Completion
O Students with disabilities who are unable to meet all the graduation requirements for a special education diploma
O Students may stay in school through age 21O Schools must offer services until the student
is age 22 or earns a diploma, whichever comes first
