Bulk &Chopped

............................NUTEC Fibratec* bulk and

chopped is produced by the fusion ofhigh purity alumina/silica raw materialsin an advanced electric arc furnace. Thefibers produced are exceptionally cleanand consistent in quality and texture.

NUTEC Fibratec* bulk andchopped fibers are loose, long andflexible with high refractory properties, and are produced by the "blown" andthe "spun" processes. They are used asthe base for the production ofmoldable, and vacuum formed board andshapes.

High Temperature Insulation Fibers

..........................

NUTEC Fibratec* ceramic fiberpaper, is a lightweight refractory materialprocessed from a blend of high purityalumina-silica fibers into a highly flexible, uniform sheet. It is recommended forcontinuous use at temperatures up to1260°C (2300°F ).

NUTEC Fibratec* ceramic fiberpaper, has low shrinkage, good handlingstrength, and low thermal conductivity. It contains a small amount of organicbinder for processing which makes itflexible, yet reduces off-gassing and odorduring use. Our product has a highlyuniform structure due to its controlledbasis weight and thickness, assuringhomogeneous thermal conductivity anda clean, smooth surface ideal forgasketing or sealing.

ThermalInsulation System

High Temperature Insulation Fibers

<< MacromoduloInsulation system for Industrial furnaces& kilns for temperatures up to 1482'C(2700'F), they are monolithic ceramic fiber modules of bent blanket in accordionform and anchored to the metal mesh, which is assembled to the structure ofthe furnace or kiln. Grupo NUTEC has itsheadquarters based in Monterrey,Mexico. And since 1975 it offers solutionsto our client’s in all of their industrialheating necessities.

Advantages> Excellent thermal efficiency becausethere is not anchoring that transmits heatfrom the hot face to the cold face of thefurnace.> The anchoring system is in the coldside, doesn't see the heat of the furnace.> There are not joints, and because ofthis the possibility for heat to travel tothe cold face is eliminated.> The ceramic fiber fixing system hasmore ties per sqaure foot than any othersystem on the market.> Uniform Density of insulation throughout the whole element.> Single piece prefabricated element withthe maximum dimensions thattransportation limits allow.

Ladle Covers >>NUTEC Fibratec* ceramic fiber ladleCovers are engineered and designed tosupport the tough conditions of a steelladle. This product performs better thana hard refractory cover due to thecharacteristics of ceramic fiber.

Advantages• Greater useful life and pouring tonnage.• Easy and fast repair of ladle.• Lower maintenance and repair costs.• Light weight.Features• Low thermal conductivity.• Low heat storage.• High resistance to thermal shock.• Resistance to temperatures of up to 1480° (2700°F).• Sizes almost unlimited.• No curing or dry-out time required.

Board

High Temperature Insulation Fibers

..........................NUTEC Fibratec* ceramic fiber board

is a lightweight refractory material processedwith alumina silica fibers for applications attemperatures up to 1650°C (3000°F).

NUTEC Fibratec* board is a vacuumformed product that resists higher gas velocitiesthan ceramic fiber blanket. It is ideal for furnace, boiler duct and stack lining due to its low thermalconductivity and low heat storage allowingshortercycle times and quicker access for maintenance.

Features> Low thermal conductivity, saves fuel.> Very low heat storage, faster heat

and cool-down reducing cycle times.

> Light weight-replaces heavy back-up insulations, less steel required.

> Excellent thermal shock resistance.> Resistant to hot gas erosion.> Resists most chemical attacks.> Easy to cut, handle and install.> Low sound transmission.> Resists penetration by molten

aluminum and other non ferrousmetals.

> Contains no asbestos.

Typical Applications> Refractory lining for industrial

furnaces in walls, roofs, doors, stacks, etc.

> Combustion chamber liners, boilersand heaters.

> Back-up insulation for brick andmonolithic refractories.

> Transfer of molten aluminum andother non ferrous metals.

> Expansion joint boards.> Barrier against flame or heat.> Hot face layer for high velocity or

abrasive furnace atmosphere.

MoldableNUTEC Fibratec* moldable is

used to prevent heat loss caused by thedeterioration of the existing lining andcan be installed using a trowel, a caulkinggun or a pump.

NUTEC Fibratec* moldable ismultipurpose form of ceramic fiberdispersed in a sticky, cohesive bindersystem that adheres to most ceramic andmetallic surfaces.

Features> Low heat storage.> Reduces fume emission around

refractory.> Excellent thermal shock resistance.> Resistance to gas velocity.> Easy to install.> Adheres to most ceramic and

metallic surfaces.> Excellent corrosion resistance.> Inert to most chemicals.

> Impermeable to molten aluminum, zinc, copper, lead.

> Contains no asbestos.Typical Applications> To form troughs or liners for non

ferrous metal transfer.> Gaskets and seals around burner

blocks.> Protection of metallic parts from

heat.> Pump into voids in badly damaged

back up insulation.> Gaskets and seals for chimneys and

stacks.> Boiler doors seals and thermal

insulation.> To fill voids and cracks in refractory

surface.

PumpableThe NUTEC FIBRATEC Pumpable

is a multipurpose form of ceramic fiberdispersed in a sticky mix.

Fibrous in nature, excellent insulationproperties, lightweight, easy to install, dramatic energy savings.

This pumpable mix ischaracterized by excellent wet adhesionto steel, refractories and other ceramicfiber products.

This material is also immune tothermal shock, resists flame erosion, ithas very low heat storage and lowthermal conductivity at high workingtemperatures.

These are just some of theadvantages of using Nutec FibratecCeramic Fiber products to solve yourInsulating problems.Contains no Asbestos.

Typical ApplicationsIt can be used as back up insulation oron hot face patching in refractory liningsgaps or cracks and stud protection.

RgidizarNUTEC Fibratec* rigidizer is applied tothe surface of NUTEC Fibratec* blanket,or other high temperature ceramic fiberinsulations by spraying or brushing. Afterair-drying, NUTEC Fibratec* rigidizerfirms-up the refractory ceramic fiber, giving it tougher, more abrasion resistantcharacteristics. It is normally applied afterthe ceramic fiber is installed.

NUTEC Fibratec* rigidizer, isshipped in 5-gallon plastic drums. Onegallon of rigidizer covers approximately50 square feet brushed or 100 squarefeet when sprayed.

Typical Applications> Hot gas erosion resistant coating infurnaces and ducts.

> Catalytic converter mat edgeprotection.> Structural hardening agent for paperson board.> Use as bat wash on kiln furniture.

CementThe Nutec Fibratec Ceramic Fiber Cementis comprised of two high purity adhesivesdesigned to be used to adhere fibermaterials to themselves, to otherrefractory or insulating materials, and tosome metals. The Cements have theconsistency of thick cream and can beapplied by brushing or trowelling. Theyalso can be thinned with water and canthen be used to coat a wide range ofrefractory materials. On drying they forma hard but flexible abrasion resistant skin.

Typical Applications> Cementing modules on to blocks.> Mortar for refractory bricks.> Insulation and protection for metallicsurfaces.> Protection against corrosion andabrasion for fibre linings.> Adhesive for sticking refractory paperto submerged entry nozzles (SEN) incontinuous casting steel plants.> For sticking ceramic paper and felt tosteel ladles.> For sticking blankets and board to eachother to increase thickness.> Our cement has added advantage offlexibility once dried.
