TRANSCRIPT

Principles.

● Cooling of the gases from direct furnace evacuation by injection of atomised water into water spray chamber.

● Variable regulation of the injected water amount main-taining the outlet temperature of the HTQ below the temperature level of the dioxin/furan de-novo-synthesis and protecting the bag house against peak temperatures.

● Increase of dedusting system efficiency by reducing the DEC system offgas volume and dust load on the filter.

Concept.

● Atomising of the water by nitrogen or compressed air in spray lances.

● Supply of water and air/ni-trogen controlled automatically by a state-of-the-art valve rack.

● Water amount correlating with the process stage/offgas temperature providing a full evaporation of the water in the spray chamber, even at low temperatures.

● Dust removal at the bottom of the spray chamber tower by front-end loader.

Advantages.

● Lower pressure drop in theDEC duct.

● Less water-cooled duct surface area required.

● Less dust deposit in the ducts.

● Elimination of tubular cooler and booster fans.

● Better bag house utilisation by reduced and stable temperature.

● Economical solution for dioxin and furan reduction.

● Quick and easy maintenance.

● Low operating costs.
