PRECISION ALL AROUND.
B-axis swivel milling head
Zuse ETA-MILL 1000/1600 machine tools include a
universal swivel milling head driven by the B-axis.
Combining this with the highly dynamic linear axis
true, achieves highly productive 5-axis simultaneous
machining. The swivel milling head is powered
by top-performing and frictionless torque engines.
Strong angular acceleration results in extremely
short down times. The integrated hydraulic clamping
facilitates rough machining of high rigidity materials.
Axial- radial bearings without backlash ensure high
rigidity and a long service life. The swivel range
reaches from -10° up to +180°.
The direct measuring system by a high-precision
angular encoder is integrated for maximum precision.

C-axis rotary table
Standard rotary table
The classic torque-engine-driven rotary tables of the
ETA-MILL 1600 are equipped with a high- precision
absolute encoder, a direct reading system for high-
precision machining. The movement dynamics and
linearity result in big drive torque and higher per-
formance. Maximum table load is up to 4,000 kg.
Optionally available for ETA-MILL 1000.
Optional mill-turn table
Optionally available are latest technology mill-turn
tables with a turning speed of up to 500 rpm.
With the torque engine, milling and turning of
difficult-to-machine materials is possible in a single
clamping. Highest surface qualities can be achieved.

Heidenhain iTNC 530 and TNC 640 combined with the Zuse Interface for optimal ergonomics!
iTNC 530 from Heidenhain is your reliable process control for 5-axis machining.
For turning and milling, the TNC 640 is particularly well suited.
The optimized Zuse Interface and the iTNC 530/TNC 640 conversational programming (shop floor
or DIN-ISO programming) ensure fastest programming. The latest Heidenhain features, like the
optionally available Adaptive Feed Control (AFC) and CollisionMonitoring (DCM) protect your
machining operation. Direct import of dxf files is also possible. The new iTNC 530/TNC 640 feature
short block processing times and enable accurate 3D simulation graphics. With its uniform digital
design and its integrated digital drive control including inverters, it enables very high machining
speeds and the best possible contour accuracy—particularly when machining 3D contours.

Conforming to European safety standards
Zuse guarantees comprehensive, modern safety devices according to the European safety norm
for tool machines DIN EN 12417.
With Euchner security switches, the locking of doors is fully controlled. Hybrid machine glazing ensures high
retention capacity, puncture and scratch protection, as well as resistance against coolants. The control
circuits of the linear and rotational axes, as well as of the spindle, are monitored closely. For additional safety
controls we rely on German manufacturing partners like PILZ, Heidenhain, and Siemens. Additional monitor-
ing programs are possible. All safety controls have CE identification, declaration, and conformity.
