Shrewsbury College has delivered high quality university level programmes for nearly 20 years. We have successful partnerships with Staffordshire University, Edge Hill University and other prestigious awarding institutions.

More and more students are choosing to study locally with us because…• Our tutors are experienced and inspiring

• Our achievement rates are high

• Our class sizes are smaller than universities, giving you more individual attention

• We have a Study Skills Programme to help you develop your academic skills

• Our courses usually take place over two days so you can fit the study around your job

• We’ve spent £15m on the campus over the last few years improving facilities and offer more

car parking, places to eat and study areas as well as industry-standard training settings

• Our fees are considerably lower than most universities.

The majority of our learners are already employed and continue to work alongside their studies.

The average price most universities charge for a three year degree is currently £27k, or £18k for two years. The equivalent of two years study with us will cost you around £10,800, and this doesn’t include the money that can be saved on living and travel costs.

Sam says…I really enjoy interacting with students and love coaching and ‘challenging’ students as well as myself. I particularly enjoy teaching mature students with a thirst for knowledge. For anyone that wants to become a Sports Teacher then an HE qualification is a must – as it sets you above others.

85% of second year PGCE trainees gained employment at the end of the programme in a Teaching role.

I’ve progressed from the Level 2 course and thoroughly enjoyed the HND - the group is very supportive of each other. Being able to work whilst studying is the good thing about the course. I am going to Staffordshire University to top up to a degree in computing science.Mark Rennie, HND Applied Computing
