Highlighting Sponsors, Funders & External

Partners in Your Mobile App

There are a number of ways that you can acknowledge your sponsors and funders within your mobile app.

Let’s take a look at some examples.

The Loading Screen

The Loading Screen (aka the Splash Screen) is an image presented to the app subscriber for a few seconds while the software launches on their device.

Since the Loading Screen’s design is entirely up to you, it is a great place to dedicate a significant amount of visual space to highlighting an app sponsor or funder.

The Home ScreenEach of the Home Screen options gives you an opportunity to acknowledge an app sponsor or funder:

• Slideshow – You can create a slide focusing on the sponsor or funder and link out to their website.

• What’s New – The Welcome Message area allows you to add a thumbnail image and up to 90 characters of text which can both highlight the sponsor/funder and link out to their website.

• Icons – Include an icon for your app sponsor on your menu and link to their site.

• Cards – You can create a card thanking the sponsor or funder. The card features a banner image, headline, description text, and a call to action which may link to a URL or to a custom page within the app.

Custom Tabs

As with the Loading Screen, you have total control over the content and layout of your Custom Tabs. Correspondingly, they are a great way to highlight sponsors, funders, and partners. Some ways to do this include:

• Use a custom tab to recognize your season sponsors and/or funders.

• Use a custom tab to highlight a certain group or type of partners.

• Use a custom tab to highlight a single sponsor, funder, or partner.

Event Details Screen

Once you create an event in the Control Panel, you can add a Sponsor to that event’s details screen.

• Go to Events >> My Events and click on the Manage button for that particular event.

• In the submenu for that event, select Sponsor.

• Enter the Name for the event’s sponsor.

• If you add the sponsor’s web address, then the user can tap on the sponsor’s name to go to their site.

Push Notifications

Highlight sponsors, funders and partners with push notifications.

• Target notifications to particular groups of app users based on personal information categories or interests

• Schedule messages in advance to be delivered at specific times• Connect your notification to content in the app or online • Share push notification analytics with your sponsor or partner

Geofence Messages

Set up a geofence around your sponsor or partner’s location. When your app user crosses the geofence perimeter, a message is sent to their device.

• Schedule the message to be active during particular time frames• Have multiple messages available during different time frames• Share message analytics with your sponsor or partner

At The Venue – InfoIf you have created an At-The-Venue experience for a performance, there are three possible ways to highlight sponsors, funders, or partners on the Info screen.

• Spotlight Text – Located under the title for the event, the Spotlight Text is a strong place to add an acknowledgement.

• Custom Action – You could link to a custom tab or an external URL from the Info screen as a Custom Action.

• Sponsor Area – When you create an instance of At-The-Venue, the initial form allows you to enter the name and website specifically for a sponsor.

At The Venue -Offers

Another At The Venue area that’s great for highlighting partners is the Offers screen.

Each item on the Offers screen has a text header and an image.

When the app subscriber taps on that item, they are taken to a screen providing patrons with details about the offer and instructing them how to redeem that offer.

Music Details Screen

Once you create a music album in the Control Panel, you can add a Sponsor to that album’s details screen.

• Go to Music >> My Music and click on the Manage button for that particular album.

• In the submenu for that event, select Sponsor.

• Enter the Name for the album’s sponsor.

• If you add the sponsor’s web address, then the user can tap on the sponsor’s name to go to their site.
