This year's show was packed full of exciting new boating products. We visited the show on its opening day to have a look around. Here are our highlights.

2. The London Boat Show 2013This years show was an excellent display of thebest the boating industry had to offer. Whetheryou had millions to spend on a yacht or lessmoney to spend on accessories, the boat showoffered up a plethora of stands and exhibitionsfor every kind of sailor. If you didnt make it tothe show, here are our highlights. 3. Sunseeker Predator 68The predator 68 is small yet mighty and boasts a top speed of up to 42 knots(dependant on final specification). Fast when you consider that the Predator has threedouble bedrooms, two en suite bathrooms, flat screen TVs, a spacious kitchen, lots offore and aft deck space AND a smaller RIB for getting to and from shore. 5. Technohull seaDNA 999 S300The seaDNA 999 S300 stood out like a sore thumb at the show and exuded speed,sportiness and power. The combined horse power of the two out board engines is600HP meaning it outguns a Ferrari 458 Italia by 30HP. With this, the Technohull willstill reach a top speed of over 80mph - not slow by any stretch of the imagination! 6. Hobie CatsThe Hobie cat stand offered a few more lower paced options. Best in show was theHobie Mirage Tandem Island. This craft is many things rolled into one. Use it as asailing boat with the rig up or take it down and continue with pedal-paddle power. Theunique Hobie MirageDrive allows you to use pedal power if there isnt any wind. 7. Topaz ArgoThe Topaz Argo has been met with critical acclaim as an excellent craft for thoselearning to sail and those who want family fun. Theres excellent stern space allowingfor easy manoeuvrability with in the cockpit. A great boat for adults and supervisedkids alike, the Argo is shaping up to be a brilliant option for clubs to buy for all roundclub use. 8. Garmin NavigationThe latest and greatest products from Garmin feature 3D mapping and touch screeninterfaces meaning you can switch easily between viewing a topographical map, a 3Dmap, radar and sonar. The biggest monitor available was a 15 inch display which alsohad the option to be linked to a computer or media player. 9. Mastercraft X-STARIf youre after a bit more action from your boat then the MasterCraft X-STAR is for you.A favourite among wakeboarders, this craft is designed with water sports enthusiastsin mind. This model is regularly used in international standard wakeboarding contests. 10. Coxless RowersThese brave girls are tasked with rowing across the Pacific Ocean. Laura, Annabel andHeather are performing this incredible feat in aid of Breast Cancer Care. The CarsOk so it has nothing to do with boats but theres no denying that the corner of the hallfull of expensive, shiny, luxury cars was one of the highlights of the show. From trackspec Ferraris to vintage Rolls Royce, this mix of polished chrome, carbon fibre andrubber was a sight to behold. 12. The Green BlueThe Green Blue is a scheme set up by the RYA to encourage an environmentallysustainable approach to boating. This includes work with individual boat users and clubsto educate and offer solutions that allow all water users to enjoy their hobby whilsthaving minimal impact on the environment around them.
