62°N WANTS TO INVITE YOU ON A GRAND TOUR OF THE CENTRAL PART OF THE FAROE ISLANDS – TO THE ISLANDS OF STREYMOY AND EYSTUROY. THE TOUR WILL PRESENT SOME OF THE HIGHLIGHTS OF THE FAROE ISLANDS AND WILL TAKE YOU TO SOME OF THE MOST CHERISHED SIGHTS AND ATTRACTIONS. YOU WILL EXPERIENCE FABULOUS SCENERIES, GET UP CLOSE TO THE BIRD CLIFFS FROM THE SEA, MEET THE LOCALS AND SOME OTHER SURPRISES ALONG THE WAY

Our guide will pick you up at your hotel at 09:45 (09:45 from city hotels / 10:00 from Hotel Føroyar) and take you via the mountain road to Vestmanna; from where we have a beautiful panorama view over the islands, mountains and fjords. We will stop for a few minutes to take photos and take in the beautiful surroundings.

From Vestmanna we will continue on a boat tour to the Vestmanna Bird Cliffs, one of the most valued tourist attractions in the Faroe Islands. We will sail close along the towering cliffs and into grottos, through narrow sounds, and close to the almost 2,000 feet high vertical cliffs, where birds such as puffins, guillemots, fulmars and kittiwakes’ nest in the summer.

Hereafter we will go on land in Tjørnuvík, a village surrounded by steep mountains and a fantastic view to the freestanding rock formations Risin and Kellingin, the Troll and the Witch, who were sent from Iceland to steal the Faroe Islands. The guide will take you on a stroll through the village spiced with stories about the Vikings who were the first settlers and an authentic Kingo hymn. From Tjørnuvík the tour continues across the bridge over the North Atlantic to the island Eysturoy.

On Eysturoy Visit Runavík will meet us and present their new concept “Meet the locals” that is a tour of the hidden gems on the island with the subtitles; Unwind with the locals, Eat with the locals, Knit with the locals, Go Off-grid with a local.

The tour back to Tórshavn will go by highspeed Rib boats and we expect to be back at the hotel just after 17:00.

During the tour you will be served lunch and light refreshments.
