The Hi-Life Big band was formed in 2002, and consists of both professional & amateur musicians from the greater Southampton area. Sound People Ltd have been their provider of choice since their very first gig! Andrew Worsfold, their musical director knows that when Sound People are on duty, he can leave all the technical details to us, and just worry about getting the band tight!
We have worked with them in al kinds of venues over the years, from the Southampton Guildhall, Central Hall (shown above – Lighting design by one of our partners – Vision Network), and even some lower key outdoor events! (left). In fact the working relationship has developed in such a way that SPL even store & transport the music stands & backline equipment to each show. Our production management team work with the band’s clients & venues to ensure that the event goes without a hitch.
PPPPowerbulgeowerbulgeowerbulgeowerbulge A great bunch of musicians, who play parties, weddings & corporate events with their unique blend of 70’s funk, & hip party music. Again, a long term client, who have developed a special way of working with us. In order to keep the cost of the productions down, several members of the band agree to help with the setup & breakdown of the equipment needed to put on the show. This means that we can often squeeze into a venue between the after dinner speeches & evening gig! It is a little known fact that one of our Engineers actually plays bass in this band!
