id you ever think there could be so many types of safari adventures?DGame Drive Safari: Hop aboard a rugged Land

Rover for your chance to explore the vast and diverse ecosystems of Africa on an authentic safari. Game drives allow you to sit back and enjoy exceptional game viewing while snapping pictures of African wildlife in action. Most luxury lodges and camps offer game drives as part of their included activities list.

Walking Safari: Connect with nature on

a whole new level as you venture through the African bush on foot. On a walking safari, you’ll follow an expert guide as he or she introduces you to the hidden elements of the bush and teaches you animal tracking techniques through auditory and visual cues. A walking safari offers the same fantastic game-viewing experience and adventure as a vehicle safari, while offering a different perspective on nature.

So close!

Mokoro (canoe) Safari: Also known as a canoe

safari, a mokoro safari takes visitors through wildlife-clad rivers and water holes where animals go to bathe, play, and drink. Watch a hippo charge into the water or a baby elephant play with his mother. In addition to observing animals behaving in a different environment, a canoe safari provides the perfect setting for bird viewing.

Horseback Safari: Arguably the most

adventurous safari to embark on, a horseback safari is a must for adventurists and explorers at heart. Running with a herd of zebra on horseback is an experience that cannot be matched by any other. Feel the adrenaline rush through your veins as you ride along the sprawling hills and observe spectacular creatures and the Big Five at close proximity.

Balloon Safari: This one-of-a-kind safari is a

unique adventure that enables riders to peer down onto the vast African terrain, taking the land in as a whole, and observe nature from a completely new perspective. Game viewing is spectacular as you glide above the treetops and soak in the picturesque moments—not to mention, photography opportunities are spectacular.

All of the above safari adventures can be had in almost all of the countries in eastern and southern Africa.

Tented Camp Myths:

The Truth Revealed

You don’t have to be rugged or adventurous to stay in tented camp accommodations.

Tented camps can be extremely high-end & feature a wide range of lavish amenities & facilities.

The major difference between mobile and non-mobile camps is that mobile camps are built primarily with efficiency in mind, so that they can be moved to follow migratory patterns.

Non-mobile camps are specifically built for luxury and to ensure that you experience the most exciting and comfortable safari vacation possible.

Travel & Transfers

Because many of the camps and lodges you’ll be staying at are in remote regions, you’ll most likely take one or several charter flights during your stay in Africa. Guests can choose to embark on private charters or scheduled charters. Private charters are completely private and only serve your group. Scheduled charters transport your group, as well as other travelers outside of your group. If your itinerary includes travel on a small aircraft, there are serious luggage and personal weight restrictions that must be taken into account. After you’ve booked, we can provide you with a detailed description of weight requirements for your particular flights. There are also ground transports that are offered between camps and countries. This depends based on the distance between your current point and your destination.
