In the beginning when God created the Heavens and
the Earth, was the Word, and the Word was with God.
The ‘Word’ was Jesus Christ. The written Word of God
is his Logos, the blueprint that all creation proceeds
from. The living word of God is Jesus, the living word
of God given for us, abiding from the beginning. The
Alpha and the Omega, the beginning of the Greek
alphabet to the end, and everything in between. Jesus
Christ is a demonstration of all that there is and all
that stands to be inherited in the will of God. Jesus
Christ is the language of God, the origin of life, the
genesis of everything. Jesus Christ is the source of
everything and the teacher of everything. John 14:26
“But the helper, the Holy, whom the Father will send in
my name, He will teach you all things, and bring to
you your remembrance all that I said to you.” The
proper context to view everything is : How does it
compare with Jesus? What does he say about it?
John 4:1 “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the
spirits whether they are of God: because many false
prophets are gone into the world.” Jesus is the lens
that we correctly view life from, the cornerstone that
the builders rejected. When Jesus is placed properly
on the throne of our heart, as the foundation of all
creation we are given the stability to receive the
completed wisdom and knowledge of the Lord.
1 Corinthian 13:9 “Now our knowledge is partial and
incomplete, and even the gift of prophecy reveals only
part of the whole picture.” The whole picture is Jesus
Christ. His understanding is unsearchable, but given to
us that if we seek, we may find. Matthew 24:42 “Jesus
asked them, Have you never read the scriptures : '' The
very stone which the builders rejected and threw
away, has become the chief cornerstone; This is the
Lord's doing, And it is marvelous and wonderful in our
eyes?” In this fallen world Christ is rejected, and the
Lord has allowed this for his elect to endure
until the end, to be forged in the fire, until the
wheat and chaff will be separated. We wait for
the marvelous return of Christ, he is the
motivation in our daily lives in preparedness
for that day. We sew diligently until that day ,
keeping ourselves holy and redeeming the
time because the days are evil. Isaiah 28;16
“Therefore this says the Lord God: behold, I lay
in Zion a stone for a foundation, a precious, a
sure foundation.” What we do for selfish
ambition will not hold anything together and
is a burden to a person’s own end. The Lord
has lifted this burdensome yoke and given us
his yoke, to not glorify ourselves but God.
I think daily of how the Lord by his sufficient
grace holds this world in his hands, bonded by
Christ alone. Mathew 11:28-30 “all ye that labor
and are heavy laden, and I will give you Rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you and learn of me; for
I a meek and lowly in heart: and ye find rest
unto your souls. 30 For my Yoke is easy and my
Burden in light.”
God gives us the precious stone of Christ as a
treasure to our salvation, and God also in the
demonstrating and Symbolic manner of
Christ, places in us that stone of Christ as fruits
but also gifts and talents. Proverbs 17:8 “A gift
is a precious stone in the eyes of him that has
it, written whosoever it turneth, it prospereth.”
Much like in the book of Genesis, God had split
up the people, their languages, and land,
placing them strategically where they could
find Him. God places us where we can find
Him, and places in us a gift that we may find
42 HOPE IS NOW
Him in it and grow in Him. The gifts we may
have that God has chosen to give us is a
symbol of Christ, and much like our election
He chooses our talents according to how He
has made us, for His Glory. Proverbs 18:16 “A
man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth
him before great men.”
God elects for us a position in his body, and
hides his treasure in us for us to find when we
surrender it to him. 2 Corinthians 4:7 “We now
have this light shining in our hearts, but we
ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing
this great treasure. This makes it clear that our
great power is from God, not from ourselves.”
Jesus Christ is our true gift of salvation, as
nothing more is more valuable than eternal
life with him and the Father in heaven. God
gives us treasure within us like a compass to
navigate with our small magnetic stone as a
map to find the true territory in a fallen world,
the kingdom of heaven. Our talents are for
service and positions in the body. Ephesian 4
:15-16, “ but speaking the truth in love, we are
to grow up in all aspects into him that is the
head, even Christ, from whom the whole
body, being fitted and held together but what
every joint supplies, according to the proper
working of each individual part, causes the
growth of the body for the building up of
itself in love.” God has fashioned each
member for a different purpose in the body,
but serving for the whole being. This is what I
think of the scripture I referenced earlier in
Proverbs 18:16 of growing into Christ; a man's
gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him
before great men. When I think of what those
gifts may be, I think of my own physical gift as
a visual artist, and I think of the word Art itself
in any technique is its highest form and
achievement in its field. Art’s etymological
meaning is a technique, a skill, a trade.
A trade we must make in its highest calling, of
our will for Gods. An art is a highly refined and
skilled practice, intended to not only create
the physical but also evoke an effect of
reverence, of wonder, and
beauty that is deeply respected and perhaps even
feared. A discipline that captures and extracts the
virtue, the absolute, the objective and exclusive
standard. Like in the field of science measured and
tested. Tested against truth, for the preservation of
truth. Theology was once known as the queen of the
arts because we know God's word is the holy and
divine source of knowledge that forms all other
knowledge. The revelation placed in one's self by God
by his Logos, the written word of God. Colossians 1:15-
16, ‘The Supremacy of the Son of God. 15 The Son is
the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all
creation. 16 For in him all things were created in
heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether
thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things
have been created through him and for him.” The
Rhema of God is his word spoken to you, coming
alive for you a specific purpose and parable. Logos is
the rice, and Rhema is the cooked rice. It is a
revelation and and remembrance . I think back to the
scripture John 14:26 that I already mentioned, the
comforter, the teacher bringing about to your
remembrance of all things and teaching you all
things. The soul of a man is a programmable entity
and I think God connects our talents with us as
parables to be reprogrammed by Christ if we
surrender it back to him at the altar. To reveal the
truth : Matthew 13:10-11 “And the disciples came and
said to Him, ‘Why do You speak to them in parables? ‘
He answered and said to them, ‘Because it has been
given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of
heaven, but to them it has not been given".
For much of the bible art and talent is referenced to
the raw materials, and forging them into weapons
and fortresses, armor and swords. This is a symbol of
our high calling, as witnessing is spiritual warfare. 2
Corinthians 10: 3-5 “For though we walk in the flesh
we do not war after the flesh: 4 (For the weapons of
warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to
pulling down of strongholds;) 5 Casting down
imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself
against the knowledge of God, and bringing into
captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ:
And having in readiness to revenge all disobedience,
when you obedience is fulfilled.”

God has put his holy and divine nature in his
handy work that he uses to show us his
eternal and divine attributes. Psalm 19:1 “For
the director of music. A psalm of David. The
heavens declare the glory of God; the skies
proclaim the work of his hands.” What
reaction does the handiwork of God provoke
in us? It is an arousal beyond our physical
being calling us to the deeper and majestic
mysteries of life themselves. It affects us
emotionally to see such epic beauty, so
absolute as a rich and colorful sunset
towering over the crumbling ancient worlds
as well as the polluted and graphitized
modern ones. It’s telling us of something
greater, pointing to something much higher
than ourselves, as well of the characteristics of
Him that created it Romans 1:20 “For since the
creation of the world His invisible attributes,
His eternal power and divine nature, have
been clearly seen, being understood through
what has been made, so that they are without
excuse.”
This is what the gifts God has placed in us for
the purpose of winning souls, to captivate and
display the truth. Sometimes that looks like
meekness and ordinary as the paradox of our
Lord, because this what is necessary to
alleviate burdens of this world. Our gift is our
balm of Gilead as Jesus is the balm, so should
his spirit dwelling in us bare witness.
Spiritually a weapon fashioned transmuted
and gilded for warfare, refined and tested for
purity, inspiring and towering in holiness like
a colorful sunset over the crumbling ancient
ruins and overdeveloped industrial modern
ones.

1 Corinthians 10:31 So whatever you eat or drink, orwhatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
As a widow and mother of young lambs, my main priority
is teaching them to love God. The time I spend paintingand being creative is time I spend with my Father learninghis language and character, exploring the deep mysteriesof symbolism in his creation. I get lost in thinking of all the
ways creation proceeds out of the word; Jesus, and lookfor him in everything and hope to reflect the profound
demonstration of his eternal power in my artwork, secondto in my life .
